Some suggestions

Hello guys, i'm created this mappack: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1421
And i want to suggest some things to mario

1. I want some timers. Cause i don't want to create hard entires for easy periodic event.
2. Some photoelements. Like "is i moves from A to B and there are some photoelement between them then something works"
3. Turrets. Firing by bullets.
4. Turrets firing by laserbeams
5. Rotating lasers. Blue and red. Rotating between the specified points chosen by me
6. Rotating turrets whis lasers.
7. Jumping platforms in all dimensions. I saying about jumps to "up and right" and "up and left" also some "down jumps" not about "right and up" jumps and same shit)
8. Easy mechanism to add my own textures this my properties and allowing to change creeps (doesn't think than original mario goombas feets to mario theme)
9. Allow to create rotating and moving platforms on whitch can be plased portals.
10. Some destroyable things. Tiles and entires.
11. Some checking mekanizm for destroyable entires (to know does it cube of else)
12. Some non-constant rules to destroyable things
13. Cubes to relocate lasers
14. For gel entires allows to stacks with itself. Now we can't feet one tile from 4 sides.
15. Allows to place jumping platforms and other entires on movign platforms
16. Allows to change weapons ingame
17. Allows to make some levels without portal gun or with only one portal.
18. Allows to create static portals of one color with disabling this portal if it's activated.
19. Boombs with timers. With destoying some entires and tiles.
20. Link gun. Or climbing device. Gun like Worms series moving device.
21. Bombs witch can be moves onto portals.
22. Bomb shoter entire.
23. Some tiles with stops entires like a lasers and grills but mario can't stay on they.
24. New colored laser witch controled by physic. It doesn't straight. It moving in some direction and falls to earth.
25. Some rules witch allows to one laser be dependented from many entires. One only one thing can turn laser on\off
26. Non-constant lasers
27. Mines
28. Zone with other gravity.
29. Allows gravity change for different lvls
30. Entires wich giving bonus time
31. SOME NON-squad tiles with sence to gels. And physics
32. Maybe some slow-mo or time-replay feachers like Prince of Persia ;D
33. Gel bubbles with gel proterties and allowed to jums on it. Destroys after 1 second jump on it or same...
34. Wind makes tiles for bubbles.
35. Some buttons for other directions (sometimes i think i really need button on the ceiling but there are buttons only for stage)
36. Spikes.
37. Gels cannot turned up. WHY THEY AREN't?
38. Something like police alarm. Just for make game more tense

Think... this all what i remember at this moment

1. What i must do to make doors wich open\close every 2 seconds?
2. Point or line in space reaching wich make some conditions turns on\off. it's like floor button, but u doesn't need to stay on it.

I really don't see how 2. could be made into a puzzle...
can't you just use buttons or something?

also I think you meant sensors
I searched photoelements and all I found was a Photoshop elements program

If you want to have it so that when you complete a puzzle you end up in front of the door to the next puzzle, you might want to have it so the door automatically opens as you approach it and then automatically close after you pass through it. Yes you can use 2 buttons, one before the door to open it and another beyond the door to close it but that just looks really clunky.

Yes. It like sensors.

There are many different ways to use it. It isn't blue laser wich stops me or red laser wich can be passed with cube in your hands. U can jump, activate sensor, opens door, shot your portal and fall back with deactivating sensor and close the door.
Also u can activate some sort of laser just moving in space.

It's really awesome

there may be a cube that reflects the lasers up,to destroy things or,maybe open doors ;)

more suggestions
1. like that suggestion in the other thread about the block turning yellow when on a button just like portal.
2. think its truely pointless to include portal gun-less levels or levels where you could attain the portal gun. waste of levels at the begining of map packs that nobody wants to play. sure it contributes to the story, but it is not really worth the time that could be spent on other things.
3. perhaps a portal goo entity or graphic that sits atop mario; entity that would kill him; graphic overtop that would allow him to fall beneath the level - appearing as if he would fall into the goo. also acts like emancipation grills when contact is made with blocks, ect. http://theportalwiki.com/wiki/Goo
4. convertable/changing tiles: turn from non-portable into portable via input.
5. entity to play sounds - small in size, glados speech?
6. have angled panels been implemented? not sure, but if they are.. circular blocks that roll off slants. http://theportalwiki.com/wiki/Edgeless_ ... afety_Cube

1) As stated, already suggested.
2) Not only are you wrong, you're contradicting yourself.
3) Basically a hole.
4) White gel.
5) Sounds make mappacks much larger and it's nothing you can't do in text anyway.

7) Eh, is there any real use for them in Mari0?
8) Spikes have already been suggested. Mashy spike plates were already in a video somewhere.
9) Probably not.

You will be able to manipulate both the Y and X velocity of a faithplate in the Mari0 SE editor.
