for the mine craft cheat I think it would better if you can't mine un-portalbe blocks

also can you make a block (or gel) that reflects the portal gun's portals

In regards to the mirroring concept, that would be a simply outstanding feature to implement. For the gel, there was a grey reflection gel that was said to make it into Portal 2 but got scraped. I guess they just couldn't find much to do with the Mirror gel or to put it simple the mirror itself.

I do agree the gel reflecting lazers/portals will expand puzzle possibility and might be easyer to program than a block

Not like it's much work.
  • Add graphic to tiles
  • Add tile property
  • Make "shootportal" check if the target block is a mirror, give portalprojectile this
  • Make portalprojectile call "shootportal" instead of "createportal" if this shot is a mirror shot, reverse the angle while you're at it
  • Done.

You would need to be able to dynamically move blocks so that you can have a "Paddle" of sorts, otherwise it is a very pointless thing to have a scoring system for as you can just keep shooting at the same angle that succeeded the first time and keep scoring since the goal posts never move...

Also this game is about Mario/Portal so I'm pretty bleh about the whole thing.

I would suggest that the mirrors could be laid on top of a block like the gel in the map editor. Or even add a mirror gel bubble shooter.
