How large the game will be?
And by large I mean how many of my precious megabytes it will consume. I may not be home the week the game will come out and the place where I will live has a very poor interent connection, let alone I can use only 5 gb of internets per month. So I've been wondering if I should wait till I get home or download it there. If it's only 20mb or lower, it's fine. But whenever I try to download a larger file, the internet just gives up at 99,98% and I have to restart computer and try downloading again. It's so frustrating.
The original game will have been much simpler in terms of data. There were only 16 colours if I'm not mistaken, whereas the data in this game has over 16 million colours. Music will also be much larger, and the NES had the language already installed, whereas LÖVE requires the language to be bundled in.jktomas wrote:It's funny how an 8bit game with some minor changes can be this large. The original game is like 5kb or even less than that.

The biggest stuff is always the audio.
Ortho robot had 2 pretty long songs in stereo, Mari0 has about 2 minutes of sound in total.
Code is small. All lua's together are just below 500KB. (Which is much compared to Ortho Robot's 100KB)
