ok, so yesterday me and someone else decided were gonna make a game (in java) and we came up with the idea of a game called with the basic layout of worms but with an exit somewhere in the map(hidden) and in one gamemode both teams are trying to find it and in another gamemode one team hides it and defends it and other team has to find it. i guess what im asking is do people think its a decent idea? were gonna make it either way but i suppose i just want opinions.

well, the land that the teams stand on, it will be hidden somewhere inside and it can be dug/blown out

Sounds like a bad idea.
Team A can just sit still and wait for Team B to find it. Then Team B's turn will end and Team A win.

in the 'one team hides it' mode it could make for some interesting gameplay because it would be unwise to stay too close, give the location away but if you stay too far away the other team could easily get to it

we thought about that and we thought about the idea of only being able to exit once all the other team are dead

the details arent finalised yet XD

everything might change the original idea was to have it puzzle based with the exit on show and teams trying to build up to it/stop the other team getting to it

this game is no longer gonna be turn based it will be a high action 2d multiplayer platformer and there might even be a single player campaign mode
