I love corrupting NES Roms
Who cares. And I can upload the corrupted roms if you want. I can also make corrupt other games if you want to see what happens to those. But you'll have to give me names and I can find them myself.xXxrenhoekxXx wrote:I don't think that's legal... Or some shit like that.thunderflipper wrote:Download for the corrupted roms?

Sure if you want to risk it upload I want them!
That's pretty f'd up, but some parts were pretty cool. It almost sounded like the music was supposed to sound like that in the first one.

This reminds me of when the batteries where close to running out on my NES clone, weird stuff like that would happen.
Would you try to do my favorite NES game: Blaster Master? I would like to see how that gets screwed up :pPvtVain wrote:Why do you want me to upload these so badly?thunderflipper wrote:Then upload them!
Also I take requests so if you want to see a NES Rom corrupted of your choice, I'll corrupt and record and upload it.
Yeah, I can. :3Jorichi wrote:Would you try to do my favorite NES game: Blaster Master? I would like to see how that gets screwed up :pPvtVain wrote:Why do you want me to upload these so badly?thunderflipper wrote:Then upload them!

This gave me a crazy idea (unfortunatly i don't think i know enough to be able to make it realy myself). Using those javascript or whetever NES emulators that run inside a web page, you would show players randomly corrupted versions of the Mario ROM, and ask the players to rate the corrupted ROM when they're done playing; then when enough ROMs in a generation have received enough votes you pick the ones that got more positive votes and breed them (exchange bits between the versions) randomly and then randomly corrupt them again to make the new generation; who knows, maybe in a few generations we might have a brand new game that evolved out of corrupt ROMs!!!
Could you do Kung Fu next?

Radiation, among other things, has been playing a similar role in the evolution of life, it corrupts DNA; more often than not the result doesn't even get born, but given enough time one of those random corruptions will actually be beneficial.Camewel wrote:You can't make a game out of corruption, only break it.
It's the NES adaptation of an arcade game called "Kung Fu Master"PvtVain wrote:What is "Kung Fu" ?, never heard of that NES game.Pyr0saur wrote:Could you do Kung Fu next?

Corrupting roms is the best! Anyways, how DO you corrupt them???
I corrupt them by getting the .nes file on my laptop then editing it in a hex editor, where the hex numbers show up, scroll down (do not edit the first 12 lines or the make wont run) and change some number so "00" and then see how you crapped up the game :Dsupermario1221 wrote:Corrupting roms is the best!
