Human advantages:
-Opposable thumbs
-A lot of evolution
-Large amounts of intelligence
-Ability to sin and do right at the same time
Pony advantages:

In a bunch of fimfics, magic often doesn't work on earth. I don't believe it myself. Maybe he means like in EG/RR, except they were human.

Just gonna bump this thread for logic.

Pegasus - Wings could not carry that weight, thus the air has magic in it, which Earth does not. -wouldn't work-
Earth Pony - Magic is required in the earth itself, as that is most likely how the force in a buck is traveled into the tree, knocking out the apples. On earth, a buck would just crack/break a tree. -wouldn't work-
Unicorn - Manipulates magic in an unspecified way, but obviously wouldn't work as well, as unicorns do not generate magic, they obtain it somehow. -would work for a while, like a battery, then wouldn't-

Also, in Equestria Girls, when they become horrid pony-human hybrids, their powers work due to the Helements of Armory supplying them with magic, and once the mirror thing closes, that would cut off the Helements' supply, and thus turning them into magical batteries.
(This part may be debunked by Rainbow Rocks but I'm not watching that.)

Oh, and also, prettty sure it's been confirmed that all three (+all-icorns) generate their own specific magic. I think as a way of debunking \\UNICORN MASTER RACE// and/or \\EARTH PONY STUPID RACE//.

Earthpony (one word in my book) magic: strength/endurence
Pegasus magic: flight (or their wings have metal which produces a magnetic field strong enough to use world's magnetic field)
Unicorn magic (or "normal magic"): magic that creates spells

Winter Wrap Up: grounded pegasi and unicorns do all the work.

I honestly don't even know if I love it or hate it.
But suddenly Bon-Bon is ruined forever for anyone who wanted to write slice of life stories with her and Lyra.
Potatoes. Seems like the storyline is just there to cram as many references as possible in, sort of like in Double Rainboom, but it at least wasn't Stupidity leads to Problem, Problem is Problematic, Pinkie Is Magically Able To Solve Everything, Caps Everywhere.
