Poor, poor Mario. You've turned him like you've turned the others.

Sounds intresting, an easy bit of photoshoping with the crop / magic wand tool. :D

I didn't make this. I was doing Character Creation on SoulCalibur V and was trying to design Chell; this came up on Google image search.

Well can you explain it to me? Is the show funny? Isn't it made for children to watch? Or is it funny solely because it's not typical for young adults to like such things?

The show gets on well because it is funny, it's cute, it's rather well-animated, and it's reasonably well-written. It's a girls' cartoon that is neither shitty nor aimed solely towards girls, which is quite a rarity. And it's rather open to fantheory, does engage in its share of references, and is generally just a pleasant show.
Maybe it's your thing, maybe not. But it's not popular simply because "it's cool to like ponies or be ironic".

Since when do males in their late teens and early 20s care about "cute" and "rather well animated" things?

VaultBoyAnthony,
I just want to pop in here and hopefully answer your question with yet another question complete with an answer: Since when are people not different? Since never.
Just because one does not like "cute" or "rather well animated" things that doesn't automagically mean another one also won't, men or women alike.
That is all.

Generally speaking, most young adult males do not like "cute" things. Obviously a lot still do. But the guys who like ponyies are disproportionate to the guys who typically like cute things.

Lauren Faust might have something to do with it. Story artist for The Powerpuff Girls and head writer for Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, which are two shows aimed at kids but enjoyed by older people (even guys!!!!!!!!) as well.

I did quite enjoy the power puff girls as a kid. Foster's home, not so much.

Since they started existing.
Vast majority of the shows for... the same target audience are complete garbage. Defeat evil by sharing and shooting lasers out of your hearts and the like. Those are obviously completely ignored.
This was however made so it could be watched by kids and their parents, and to achieve that, you need some quality content. Obviously not everyone will like it, but it's not like there's anything everyone likes.
It's a bit hard to explain why it's good. It's that combination of animation, story, characters and everything else. Likely attention to detail as well. When I started watching it, I wondered how close the animation is to actual horse gaits. Turned out it was spot on.

The thing about My little pony is it uses the classic cartoon violence and writing you don't see anymore because of it's "Bad for the children". It's not perticurly aimed at girls, or children if you have ever watched an episode.

Actually, in the first season, it had an EI rating (meaning educational and whatever else), that's why letters to Celestia are pretty much mandatory at that time. Second season doesn't have that anymore and so they've got a bit more freedom regarding violence and death machines that consist of sand, closing walls, and spikes. With spiders.
