That is one of the wierder problems. Appears to be fixed.

As far as mods go, it'd probably be best to restart. Seeing as we'd have to re generate all the mod resources in nearby chunks. Personally I've always liked the idea of floating islands. Free Elytra's, some good method of creating vertical lift. Granted it be tricky to rebalance things. If people want to try something new to spice things up I'm ears.

:( That just stinks. I've done some preliminary digging. Looks like the last time you were on was around Christmas. Dec 26 to be exact. That sound about right?
I can restore from a backup if you'd like.

would you do that with mcedit? as the stairs have been destroyed and there arent any blocks placed around to get up there i'd think that the person who did that would still be in my basement
so if you are using mcedit then maybe you could check who is down there?

Server's been updated. :)

Unfortunately I haven't been able to be on much, but I hope everyone else is enjoying it!

Once Xenoblade Chronicles is started, it is not easily stopped.

I'm on the side of continuing to modded things. However I most likely wouldn't be able to join it until I have a better rig. :c

You think we could at least port over our structures to the new map?

Some of you may have noticed that the server is down. There's a very good explanation for that. It was, uh lemme think... Rabbits! Rabbits did it!

Actually I sorta forgot to set money aside to keep it running, it'll be up again when a get my paycheck. So like 2-3 days. Sorry.............

That I can do, does anyone have ideas for mods though? I haven't dabbled in many of them, just mostly Mystcraft...

Of course, when I get the server back up.

:( My hosting service has a seven day termination policy. So it sorta terminated the server, and all it's files... I have an (pretty)old backup. When/If we decide to do mods, I can restore it into a modded(or unmodded) world. I'll wait to renew it, until I hear from everyone else.

Don't worry, though. I do have a backup that still has the Tardis.

Nothin' huge. Around ~$10 a month. But if you accidentally blow your paycheck on video games and MtG cards....

Honestly, it'd be best to set up your own dedicated server.

Also using something like Feed the Beast or Tekkit might be a better option to mods and such. Full packages that are easy to get. You can even string together your own package of mods with FTB and Tekkit if you don't wanna use the pre-made ones.

Please whitelist me. My Minecraft username is EXACTLY IceDustbowl. Make sure you don't mistype that.

Server's long gone, for now at least. Ucenna's also familiar with the whitelist feature so I wouldn't worry about his exactness.

Firstly; sorry for the necrobump thingy, been away from the forums for a little bit thought I'd give this a bit of an update. As far as server costs go, it can add up. I only had the server up for around ~3 months, so it only made it to $30 bucks. $30 bucks to hangout with friends in a cool game seemed decent. And seeing as I don't have a cell phone bill to pay, I have spare change to blow.

Perhaps. I don't have a dedicated machine I can use to run a server and still play on it myself. I used to, then it overheated. If/when I restart this, FtB and Tekkit are both definitely options. It's real tricky decide whether or not to run mods; namely you can't use them with all the cool new stuff, and they can be daunting to players unfamiliar with them.

I'm all minecrafted out at the moment, perhaps I'll return to it after a break and another server can be started. Usually; if I'm having trouble adding a new username I'll find the UUID code for it; least that's what I did to add the old minecrafters to the whitelist, and how I figured out who was who whenever they changed their username.

welp, seeing that this server is pretty much dead (again), I just wanted to throw in a recommendation for a server i visit daily which we could maybe meet up on some time. It offers a freebuild creative, survival and plotworld server and its in 1.8+1.9 compatible (meaning its basically still on 1.8 but you can join with 1.9).
IP is builderoasis.com

Also, in case you're interested (which you most probably aren't), its also the server
where i built stuff like
/warp calculatorImage
/warp TardisImage
/warp TeclabsImage
also, have a gif

[old]sorry for the double post, but apparently the owner's PayPal screwed up and now he cant quite pay for the hosting of the server.

it's going to go down in a few days...[/old]

Update: well, it seems that I helped save the server. it should be back up in a few hours/days
Update again: Its back up again

Another unrelated thing; I recently threw together a small resourcepack that people seem to like. a lot. for no obvious reason, as it only changes 2 blocks....
anyways here it is https://www.dropbox.com/s/gtw0l8ha2v1df ... s.zip?dl=1
