At the request of some, today, I create this thread for a purpose, to say the comment about where we live, it is simple, just say where you live, it is the place, important monuments (if you want to add the photo), and of course your comment, better if I start:

I, maybe some will know, I live in Italy, Rome, the place is not that great, as usual, in my town run many public transport and someas some metro, are still under construction.

Monuments there are many, for now I'll only say two things:

1) the Colosseum, the most important, is an elliptical/oval structure that had the ancient Romans.

Image

2) Circus Maximus, same thing, only used for racing, with horses

Image

As last thing I'm glad to live in Rome! :D

P.S.: of course many will live in different places, this thread serves only for curiosity and history/geography. Thank you!!!

I live in Brazil. We only have the Cristo Redentor as a world-wide known point. There's not much in Brazil...
Image
And I don't even live in Rio...

Oh, we also have the Amazonian forest...
Image
And I almost forgot of Iguaçu's Falls:

And Maranhão's Dunes:

Uh
I think any Idiot can show you the USA.

There's a lot in it though
And I live specifically in the state of California.
Not anywhere important in it, like San Fransisco,

which had an entire MK8 track inspired from it:

We also have mountains and valleys and deserts and beaches but who cares about those?

Alright, here's where I live, which is IN America.

Welp, nothing special. I guess I'm nothing special either, but I work on it hard.
Yes, my state is fantastic in the fact it is unrecognizable to all Europeans looking at a labelless map.
Brad Pitt came from Arkansas too, just to make it interesting.
I am a native Virginian, though. I was raised partially there and I live in Arkansas.
By the way, if you think of us as rednecks.. I'll fucking tear out your spinal cord and feed it to the fucking dogs.
It seems dull, but maybe I've adjusted, might have lost the view of that though. Our city was voted 6th most miserable in America, poor sentence structure yes.

The US, collectively, is a great place though.
It's just that if we all talked about it (Me, Victinistar, Idiot, B-Man, Vakema, Wilo, etc) then it would be repetitive.
So instead we talk about how little there is to each individual state is here.

Yeah
I'm not extremely patriotic but at the same time I see a lot of good and bad everywhere and the U.S. is so big that it's kind of hard to grasp EVERYTHING.
I do acknowledge the fact that I'm living in it and that there are a lot of great things that I have "because of my country" so to speak, so I'm grateful.

I know, I know, maybe most of you will dwell in us, but everyone has to tell of your place, or to comment on, not everyone lives in the same town (I'm not sure).

I repeat that this forum serves only for fun.

We live in a little town called Brockville down in the Thousand Islands.

It's a nice little town down by the St. Lawrence where it's perfect for fishing and boating and stuff.

We also have Ribfest.
... that's about it.

Friens.
Not those.
Whatever those are.

(Yeah, both me and Victinistar live in Irvine. Not well-known, as far as I'm aware of. But we are friends, and we're equally matched in most video games, which is rare.)

Oh why not.
The Netherlands or Holland doesn't have much points of interest in my opinion, but I guess everyone has heard of Amsterdam at least once in their life.
But here is my city; Breda.
A Picture on a gloomy day doesn't make it that impressive, but it is a nice and characteristic city.
Image
As you can see; The Netherlands doesn't have a hilly landscape or anything.
If you wish to call an airstrike on my head you should aim for the cluster of houses on the top right, that's the general region I'm in.
This is the center of the city with the iconic church in the middle.
Image
And some stuff outside of my city:
Yes we have windmills.
Image
But also windturbines.
Image
Know the difference
Yes we have oddly shaped scenery,
Image
depressingly small castles
Image
and tulips.
Image
No, we don't have mountains. Go away.

Yes.
Personally, I don't see that as weird as the age of consent being as low as 13 at one point in any country. This stuff is pretty tame.

Cannibalism is legal in Japan. (But not murder)

Up here in New York we have to take tests at the beginning of the school year to prove that we don't know everything already
Also our soil comes from glacial deposits. Apparently for the majority of areas, soil is equated with weathered down rock. At least that's what my Earth Science teacher says.
These are the two things that come to my mind when I think about "weird stuff in Upstate NY"
What the hell is wrong with me

In New York:
Adultery is still illegal.
It is illegal to congregate in public with two or more people while each wearing a mask or any face covering which disguises your identity.
A fine of $25 can be levied for flirting.
It is against the law to throw a ball at someone’s head for fun.
The penalty for jumping off a building is death.
New Yorkers cannot dissolve a marriage for irreconcilable differences, unless they both agree to it.
A person may not walk around on Sundays with an ice cream cone in his/her pocket.
Women may go topless in public, providing it is not being used as a business.
While riding in an elevator, one must talk to no one, and fold his hands while looking toward the door.
You may not smoke within 100 feet of the entrance to a public building.
Slippers are not to be worn after 10:00 PM.
It is illegal for a woman to be on the street wearing “body hugging clothing”.
Citizens may not greet each other by “putting one’s thumb to the nose and wiggling the fingers”.
Greene:
During a concert, it is illegal to eat peanuts and walk backwards on the sidewalks.
Kendall:
It is against town ordinances to camp out on your own land more than 72 hours a month. If you want to camp out for 2 weeks you need a permit, which can only be obtained once a year.
Ocean City:
A law from the early 1900′s prohibits men from going topless on the Boardwalk.
Eating while swimming in the ocean is prohibited.
People may not slurp their soup.
Pinball machines are not to be played on Sunday.
Raw hamburger may not be sold.
