So, you (jwright) were trying to keep that thread alive for two months, and it didn't work, and now you bring here one of your friend to help you. I'm not a soothsayer, but looks like you two are going to post and post until you get tired of it (no, i hope you revive it, no joke), and everyone else will just be watching. Well, you chose that way, and i won't try to stop you, good luck.
EDIT: Also, i didn't read that anyone would agree your idea, but i think there is at least one.

Today I reported someone on this forum for piracy.
But not the forum's Report. You know, the legal government report thingy? Yes. That.

BSA, Adobe's Piracy Report E-Mail and Fastiis.

None of these have anything to do with any government.

Also I don't think anything you can get around to submitting constitutes as solid evidence.

viewtopic.php?p=109863#p109863

Is this the post? Really?

You reported an 11 year old who vaguely admitted to pirating some version of a software on an internet forum? Wow, talk about wasting resources of 3 companies at the same time (all of which are focused on software piracy by businesses). Did you also try reporting The Pirate Bay? They should really know about that.

And even, EVEN IF they decide to go through with it, they would still need a german court order for us to even CONSIDER giving out his email or IP so they can further track him down.

Great job overall.

I didn't report the Pirate Bay.
Why Would I? They don't host the files.

That's great. Except you can't link random information that might be from someone completely different (because you can't reliably prove it's him) to a person on a forum.

A lot of people will hate me now and forever, but I made an AlesAnimator clone with 100 lines of code only. I made it just for fun, not to REALLY be a competitor to AlesAnimator. You guys should still use that one, it's awesome!

HugOnimator

"Left mouse" to draw (duh), "Ctrl+Z" to undo, "Ctrl+N" to clean layer, "-" to go down a layer, "+" to go up a layer (or make a new one), "Enter" or "Space" to toggle play mode/draw mode, "Scroll wheel" to adjust animation speed, "Middle click" to set default animation speed.

You forgot to define "speed" in your .love, Hugo. So it crash unless you put something like "speed = 0.5" in love.load.
That's a nice animator though.

So random question:
I brought up a suggestion in steam chat about having those with LOVE/LUA knowledge to teach those who wish to learn it. After a bit of talk it was agreed that it was a good idea, and one person said they'd be willing to teach as well. Before I decide to make a thread about this to organize stuff, I want to know if any of you who are fluent with LOVE/LUA would be willing to help teach us without it what you know. I'm looking for at least 3 people total just so we're not relying one one single person and always running to them. So, is anyone interested?

(Please don't answer "I'm willing to learn!" since I know there's a good few who are, and more of us isn't helping. I'm needing those who can teach to respond)

Oh and back to my previous question, if/when I make a thread for organization should I put it in twatter or game dev?

Imo, Twatter. We're just learning to code, and while we might make games, they aren't of any specifics.

So, I have a challenge with my friend going on to see how good I am at shitposting. My goal is to get my most posted-in forum to be listed as the Shame chamber. In the meantime I'm going to try to keep squeezing in non shitposts between my shitposts. :)
At my current status, that's around 134 shitposts that need to be made to get my Most active forum to be the Shame Chamber.

Why not both?

Concept:

A challenge to replace terrible selfies with good selfies.

Find a selfie with the camera in the mirror trick, stab it using some SYS program, and automatically upload the knife-wounded picture using the same program. Headbutting a knife does not count.

Replace it with a selfie of your personal levels of sexiness. Together we can replace the internet's selfies with good ones. Together, we can stab your selfies.

Side note: I occasionally compose music under the pseudonym KVSquared (though I rarely ever publish it) and I'm working on an album called kv²kv²kvk with a song called (kv²kv²(kvkv)²kv)²k (KVSquaredKVSquaredKVK, KVSquaredKVSquaredKVKVSquareKVSquaredK (like a chant))

On another note (very little note), I was able to run foreign code on the forum's index page (exploiting a vulnerability on the Linux kernel of the server)
It didn't do anything.

You didn't exploit jack shit, especially nothing in the Linux kernel. We're using Debian which is just about the most agressively tested distribution of Linux for security and I'm up to date with all security updates all the time. A kernel vulnerability would be patched days before you'd even hear of it.

You know, people might like you better if you stopped outright lying trying to make yourself sound cool.

But hey, if you're willing to toxx that you actually did your "attempt", just let me know of the time and your IP at the time. We've got logs.

Look, by exploit, it's not "destroy the servers thing". It's RCE. Aka "Remote Command Execution".
The only thing I did is a quick ls command to get the directory content. The only anonymous-accessible directory is essentially the /lost+found directory, which only included temporary files (should they go in /tmp?)

I couldn't do wget as I got an error in written.
I don't care if it's Debian.
The issue is not huge. If it didn't was patched already, I don't know.

The exploit I used is essentially a live HTTP header attack.
Basically:

1. Login with invalid shit in the login screen. I used xdxd as username and pass. Can you check up the logs? (if it's possible)
2. I get the live HTTP headers
3. I open the Replay manager, and modify the values that get executed (it was a username and password server command) to the command I wish. Since ls was one of the working command, I used it.
4. I replay the data.
5. I get redirected to the index page (idk why) with the information on the top of the screen.

I'll take a screenshot. Wait a sec.
