The problem is that fly mode and creative mode are intertwined. I can only give both. So I'm trying to think of an alternative. That way I can make the item available at the marketplace.

@Jorichi I might take you up on that marketplace/job center offer, when I finish ironing out currency and what not.

Thanks, but we're actually still in vanilla. everything I've done (including a wand that can change your game mode) has been done with vanilla stuff.

edit: Problem, not sure if this is to do with the server or snapshot, but nothing is dropping anything (if a break blocks they won't drop and flowers/reeds/mobs don't drop anything either).

Okay, Mojang was kind enough to release the next snapshot, so the server needs to be updated. Auto updating would be desireable, if possible.
Oh and I have some issues with creative mode, the best I can do now is make an approx 40,000 by 40,000 circle that you can go creative in. It's better than nothing. (Figured it out, still haven't set it up.)

When I finish getting creative setup, I'll start on the scoreboard store. I'll make a button near the message board to enable creative for Jorichi and Assasin,
In other news I was going to make a jorichi (potion) soda shoppe. Does any body got good names for the potions sodas?

Well, I've been looking through the new commands the snapshot has.
Thanks to the /tellraw command I can now do a ton more!
I don't think I can do a flying thing, (sorry HappyFaces) but I can use the command to do things in relation to the player, I.E. I can now do cool things like give player x invincibility, spawn 20 tnt on top of them, then remove invincibility after the tnt explodes.

Mwah-ha-ha-hah!

Well I started on the currency. (I'm going to wait on creative until I finish figuring out /tellraw)
Just disregard the buttons on the roof, pushing them will probably just make it worse on you. (not me, but one button will deduct xp.)

The first store item (not quite ready to be bought)
is a magically power I'm just going to call Clouds.
It's used by placing a cobweb, when activated it well send you a message saying click me or something. If you click it a cobweb will spawn under you. Seemed like a good alternative to flight, since cobwebs keep you in the air for extended periods of time.

if you need any help with redstone or command blocks, i know my way around them well enough to make some interesting stuff. :P

i know how to make an afk/invisible so when someone is afk they go invisible so no mobs/players notice. i know how to add stat increases when xp increases. and a buncha other little doo-dads :p

How about, on the topic of afk, adding a thing where an afk player will be considered "asleep" so active players could use a bed and skip to morning if possible? I've been on a server that did something like that before. Twas very helpful

I'm going to leave redstone decisions up to TF, it is after all his server.

I'm really curious how this afk machine works. The best I can come up with is a command block for each coord. (although seem to remember sethbling making a video about it.)
As interesting as an afk machine sounds, I'm against it. It seem too easy to exploit.

Offtopic: If you put more command blocks so certain people can get creative, can you NOT put them near the spawn/updates board?
It's because if a non-op player presses the button, it doesn't work because of spawn protection.

coal needs to be worth less. if 23 coal means 1 emerald and 8-9 gold is 1 emerald then that means 1 gold is worth around 2.5 coal and that is kinda not fair since coal is found way too easily.

edit: this also means that a helmet is worth 18-27 gold which makes the value of leather roughly 5 gold.

with gold being worth a fraction (0.2) of leather it makes it easier to farm it. with the value of gold and redstone, a gold clock would be worth 1 emerald yet a librarian sells it for 10.

It can't. Anyone to browse these forums is able to know the Minecraft username of anyone whitelisted and/or in a ranked position. That being said, they can be impersonated. So, you'll have to leave it disabled.

Yeah I know. I think I already added you so if you can borrow someone's wand you should be good.

I was thinking;
Wouldn't it be a cool idea to also have player-designed quests? I mean, with the permission of an official admin/operator a player that wants to create a quest will be creative'd and will be watched by the admin/operator (this isn't really necessary, but whatever) while the player builds his own quest for other players. Then, the player who built a quest can either leave it unknown (let the players discover the quest starter) or be the quest giver himself. The rewards of the quest will be discussed with an admin/operator before the quest builder will use them. Based on the difficulty, the admin/operator will decide with the quest builder if it's fair or not.

I think that'd be really cool, besides having jobs. What do you guys think?

if/when i happens I can set up command blocks for NPCs. Though I might not be able to help right away. I still have to get through my checklist:
Scoreboard currency
Music
Creative zone
magic system
etc.

Alternatively people could make them in th creative section when it's done. F it's good enough we can move it to survival.
