I never understood why this is so popular and how this game works.

Explain it to me at once.

Well, the just of it is your a small little ship or whatever the hell it is, and you have to make your way through all the stages.
It's a pretty basic bullet-hell shooter, each enemy has different patterns and shot's, and if I remember correctly, it's pretty fucking difficult.
You can also get power-ups from killing enemies to upgrade your weapon, and of course, dieing means losing some of your upgrades.
I've beaten the series up to 6, mostly because of perseverance.

Thanks. Sounds a bit fun. Maybe I'll try it one time.

So can I ask why there's so many gameplay crossover games? (touhouvania or what ever they're called)
Also I don't get why this is so popular can someone explain? (not trying to be rude)

Also I don't think chocolate would be interested in pony videos.

Maybe because it's anime or something? Lots of people like anime?

Mostly because the fanbase of the series likes the ever-growing roster of characters in the series instead of the games themselves, the music in everything is just so fantastic, crossover games are just cool to play, insert other ideas here, etc. etc.

Most of the crossover and/or fanmade games aren't that bad actually. Most are really fun. The Megaman clone, Megamari, is actually one of my favorites of the fangames.
I also like Touhou as a whole.

I've played through (and beaten) most of the Touhou series and I personally like bullet hell games in general. I'd probably make Trosh2: The spinoff a bullet hell game just because. I might as well go do that.

I claim this thread in the name of the strongest in Gensokyo, Cirno.
Long live Cirno. Death to Suwako and all of her frogs.

Are you crazy? Of course there are people that could not love her. You're a bigger moron than her if you think otherwise. It's just human nature.

But of course I love her. She's just an overall interesting character.

I take THAT as a COMPLIMENT!
Oh - wait
No.. I... don't...???
This has me very conflicted

...At least I didn't make an idiot pun

Edit: This is relevant because Cirno's theme (0:52 is when song starts)
