What have I done
Cardyourself is becoming a thing

this was way more trouble than its worth

how I did it (like you give a fuck)
- make a 250x400 image for your card
- upload the image to the internet
- go to that spinning card page thing
- swap your image (I used Google chrome's inspect element feature)
- record the spinning card
- use a program to convert videos to gifs
- fuck around with that image in your image editor until you meet the requirements
- upload your avatar

re-reading that post I realized I'm over reacting to people being silly, I was trying to compare posts to memes when it's really just a stupid avatar fad. Which is even more stupid because I don't even visit Reddit I made the assumption based on what I've heard.
