So... are we at that point in the year where everyone just stops complaining about certain "things"? Like 666 or the front of Reddit?

He means, what if they take greenlight down when the number of greenlighted games was 666.

Suddenly, a topic change:

I've been into anime more than usually lately, but the anime list I've got right now is kinda short. What animes have you guys watched? Do you like the genre? If you guys have any suggestions I'm into action and mystery. Not much of a romance fan, but it's okay if the anime has action too (Example: Sword Art Online).
I've already watched Death Note, Sword Art Online, Accel World and Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt.

Last time I checked Greenlight a month ago it was full of tower defenses and poor shooters.

I liked Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (27 episodes long), it's over the top and hilarious.
If you're into blood and gore Elfen Lied is alright (14 episodes long I think).
If you're okay with movies then go for Spirited Away, it shows why it won the awards it has.
Another great movie, which I still need to watch, is Redline. This movie was handdrawn frame by frame if I remember correctly...

I like Bokurano.

Shit is going to hit the fan soon in this anime, turning everything into sadness.
What's sadder than the anime? The Manga

That was hype for Bryan/bman's album, which came out that night. It was supposed to come out earlier, so my post would have made more sense, but he had some issues uploading it.

Small sized text can allow you to do [color=#cool stuff likeFF00FF]this.[/color]
Without small text, you can't make posts with some BBCode that works and some that doesn't.

I already used this trick, but with ]size 100[/size] (the default size). In my Mari0 +Portal thread, I had to use [b] lots of times :)

So I finally caved and bought a Wii U. But only because my local pawn shop was stupid enough to be selling it at $100.
It didn't come with any games but still they're complete idiots for selling it for that much. I would've payed double. Hell after loading it up I confirmed that nothing's wrong with it at all so someone back there must not know games.

Lesson here: Look through pawn shops, they may just be stupid.

Thanks to http://petercollingridge.appspot.com/3D-tutorial I now have a simple understanding of making 3D graphics on a 2d engine (LOVE)
So I made this 3D N64 logo.

Hopefully i'll be able to make a 3D game sometime soon or I could make a 3d library.

Yes Sculpey, but no to the 1/3 a bottle, the bottle was kinda behind a bit, the figure is pretty small. Thank you (even though I thanked you on Reddit already), and others, for the compliments. It's funny though, you were the second person from here to recognize me on Reddit in a two day span

You should still post about Mari0 since there's a Mari0 thread, but I'll help anyway.
SauloFX wrote:I need some help, i want the fireball to go in a straight line when the player shots it, but i tried to code and i can't, can anyone help me?
Luckily, you don't even need to know how to code to do that.

1. Download Mari0's source.
2. Download an archiver (I use WinRAR I feel like I said this before...)
3. Open/extract the source with the archiver
4. Find fireball.lua and open it with any text editor
5. Search for "--self.gravity = 40"
6. remove the "--" and change "40" to "0"
7. save fireball.lua and the source. If you extracted it then archive it.

There, you now made fireballs go straight. Feel free to celebrate.

sorry alesan, i did all you mentioned, but it didn't made the fireballs go straight, they're still bouncing.

Edit:

Nevermind, fixed

it was like this:

--self.gravity = 0

all i had to do is this

self.gravity = 0

Thank you very much Alesan!!!

I'm trying to find on my own.
1. Go to variables.lua
2. Find "maxfireballs = 2"
3. Change the "2" to how many fireballs you want to be able to shoot (Change it to "math.huge" if you want to be able to shoot infinite fireballs)

not really any need to post it now (it's a wireframe cube that you can rotate) but if it does become a lib at some point ill post it.

edit: little update on that actually. new syntax, to create a cuboid:

Code: Select all

cuboid1 = cuboid({-100,-100,-100},{100,100,100})
--cuboid(table xyz1, table xyz2); xyz1: table with the coordinates of the first point; xyz2: table with the second point; returns cuboid
(i used the point to point method however the cuboids will still have variables width, height, depth)

so to draw it:

Code: Select all

draw("cuboid",cuboid1)
--draw(string mode, table object); mode: string that sets what shape the object is; object: table, the actual shape
