@Hans1998 that post had so much content and is totally not going to give you a warning/ban (a.k.a remove it before you get in trouble)

also I created a topic for this sort of thing ages ago.

I will buy a Wii U when the new Smash Bros. does come out. Brawl was pushed back so many times, I hope this has been being worked on for a good amount of time already, even though no real announcements were made about it yet. I also really wanna play New Super Mario Bros. U, and have stopped myself from really looking at anything online about it so I don't ruin much about it before I get a Wii U

they should have had smash brothers ready for launch seeing as every reason I heard someone hasn't bought a wii u yet was because smash brothers hadn't been released for it yet.

I emailed Nintendo support and they said a 3D Mario Platformer on the U is likely, but not yet confirmed, so I guess it's a wait until E3 this year.

are you that blind? It's the same racing game every generation, you're always in some form of a kart and there's even re used tracks in recent titles, how is it not nsmb already!? (side note no I don't hate the mario kart series, in fact mario kart double dash is one of my favorite games.)

What I meant was that I hope they don't have any "real" rehashing, as in the mindlessly implemented gimmicky shit, like the coin collecting and little "Racoon fever" they've been having. Seriously, can they come up with any new, original items that add new elements?

I just saw the Mario Kart 8 trailer.. ..I'm speechless. Not only is it not a NSMB, but it feels as though it's totally fresh. It's like they just completely rethought and redesigned the universe of Mario Karting. Nintendo is taking the awseomeness dial and jerking it way past "Shit just got real" and breaking barriers. I honestly can't wait.

All I saw was HD Mario Kart with upside down driving.

please elaborate what you mean by "rethought and redesigned"?

also I miss actual names. (they didn't just name it 8 so they could do that loop effect did they?)

1. Sideways wheels.
2. Character, Kart Customization, Track DLC.
3. Redesigned items.
4. Another type of travel that we don't know about yet because they don't know what it is either.
5. SIDEWAYS. FUCKING. WHEELS.
6. Antigravity will phase out previous generation tracks and the next generations of the game will be more exciting.
7. It's rumored that Honey Queen will not be in 8.
Not as much the same as it once was, huh?

WiloKing wrote:1. Sideways wheels. Holy shit it rotates!
2. Character, Kart Customization, Track DLC. kart customisation was in 7... And charaters were in every game... And I take it you love day one dlc?
3. Redesigned items. I've checked and they're the same items so far.
4. Another type of travel that we don't know about yet because they don't know what it is either. saying a feature that doesn't exist
5. SIDEWAYS. FUCKING. WHEELS. You said this twice.
6. Antigravity will phase out previous generation tracks and the next generations of the game will be more exciting. I'm on the walls so innovative! (what's a mario galaxy?)
7. It's rumored that Honey Queen will not be in 8. how's this a plus?
Not as much the same as it once was, huh?
The only one's you've mentioned that are "revolutionary" is the new anti gravity features and what happens when you defy gravity.

Another question, do you hate nsmb because of how it recycles more features or because it's what popular people do?

if the quote wasn't effective I'll just quote what wasn't a past feature

anyway I'm not hating on the game I'm just pointing out how you're falling for the exact thing you said you wouldn't fall for.

Well some are new features to the console versions of Mario Kart, and I've never played the 3DS one yet so uk sorta excited for some of those things, the ones that made sense more than the others

Just an observation, but Windows and Mario Kart stopped naming games and just used numbers at 7 and have continued it to 8. Conspiracy

Yes, they just named it 8 for the mobius strip track.
Also, to everyone who's saying that driving on walls is a really cool and creative thing for them to do, Crash Nitro Kart had exactly that feature. It's almost completely ripped, including the sideways wheels, and the strip of ground you touch to turn your wheels sideways.

I was going to say the exact same thing.
Also, all that hovering and twisting/twirling tracks with antigrav/magnetic...WIpeout, and Killer Loop(both ps1 games).

WIll MK8 be fun? I guess so, like almost every MK game, but creative or innovative...hell no.

Well, I was planning on buying a Wii U for my girl. She's been wanting one. The vacation money I've gathered will come in handy for that...
You guys got any suggestions on good/fun multiplayer games we should give a try? Ofcourse NSMB is an obvious one.

Nintendo Land is much better than everyone claims, and comes free with the Deluxe version. Other benefits of Deluxe are that it has way more space (standard actually only has 3 usable gigs of space) and you get an effective 10% off everything in the store on top of other discounts.

I don't have any other games apart from NSMBU and Nintendo Land so I can't recommend any others.

adding to the nintendo land thing I don't know if this information would be helpful to you or not but even though it's not advertised, there is something for the second player to do in single player events. e.g. the second player can create a temporary time slow area in Donkey kong crash course.
