Are you really that bored Turret? And I don't really see what would be interesting to talk about here, but oh well.

Actually that was a polite question, not a flame war starter. And yes, I am.

Turret, you sir, are wrong. We all know that Super Mario World is the best.
But (not a Nintendo game) Castlevania is the bestest ever.

NINTENDO SUX PLAY A REAL CONSOLE AND REAL GAMES LIKE COD YOU NOOBS!!!1!!!1!!!
I always seem to like Nintendo consoles/games more than any other console/games. PC and other consoles have a great library of games but for me it always seems like my all time favorites are on Nintendo consoles.

this thread seems pretty pointless (considering there's 2 games here that involve nintendo games) but I'll say something that kinda bugs me about most other consoles (a.k.a don't read this if you're a huge fan of microsoft or sony.)
what I hate about most xbox and playstation is that a majority of the games are on both consoles with just a couple of exclusives for each one, with the wii I can actually see the difference because all the wii games I own (besides one) are exclusives.

The reason for this, how I see it anyway, is that Nintendo has a lot of original property to work with, such as Mario, Kirby, Metroid, Zelda, etc. to work with, thus allowing them to create vastly different games which all entertain, all within their own company. Microsoft and Sony both have a lot of OP to work with as well (i.e. Halo for Microsoft), but since Nintendo's been in the game longer they have had a lot more time to create tons of OP to work with for themselves.xXxrenhoekxXx wrote:what I hate about most xbox and playstation is that a majority of the games are on both consoles with just a couple of exclusives for each one, with the wii I can actually see the difference because all the wii games I own (besides one) are exclusives.
Another thing I think benefits Nintendo is that they allow MUCH more creative freedom to their game developers, as they always create the craziest games that do some great stuff. It's a rare moment when I see Microsoft have any kind of game come out under their studios that's not relative to anything dealing with FPS's or have any kind of different graphical concept other than "realism" or something.
Do the consoles have influence on game developers?
If it's an exclusive I can understand. But otherwise it's the choice of the game developer, isn't it? The consoles can just simply allow or deny the sale of the game on their console. But I don't think any of the consoles suppress the creativity of their developers. I just think the developers for Sony and Microsoft try to stick to what's hot on the market at the moment. They seem to be more 'afraid' to experiment like Nintendo does.
But that's just what I think.
Btw, can anyone tell me how Paper Mario Sticker Star is?
I really love the Paper Mario series and I haven't gotten the chance to get a hands on demo of Sticker Star.
I don't own a 3DS (I can't see the 3D anyway) and I was wondering would this be one of the games that would make purchasing one a good choice.

Wasn't it released on the 11th of November?

7th of December for me.
The US release is much earlier for some reason.
I'm just very curious how it is, as Super Paper Mario wasn't as good as TTYD or the first one. If it is as good as the first two I'm gonna try and get some money together to buy a 3DS with Sticker Star.

I only have a Wii and a PC, as pretty much all the games that come out on PS3/Xbox have a nicer looking PC equivalent. I always laugh at Microsoft/Sony fanboys saying they have 'the best graphics' when a PC crushes them.xXxrenhoekxXx wrote:what I hate about most xbox and playstation is that a majority of the games are on both consoles with just a couple of exclusives for each one, with the wii I can actually see the difference because all the wii games I own (besides one) are exclusives.
Wii games aren't made to have shiny graphics, and there are a whole load of really amazing exclusives, so that's always a good time. I only really use the Wii for online and ripping discs now, as Dolphin plays Wii games in 1080p. :P

I got sticker star and its pretty good! but sometimes the puzzles are so annoying you just won't want to play because its not fun if you don't know what to do!Jorichi wrote:

I give it a 8.5/10
Yes I have an ad code here it is
Code: Select all
<script type="text/javascript">
google_ad_client = "pub-";
google_ad_width = 728;
google_ad_height = 90;
google_ad_format = "728x90_as";
google_ad_type = "text_image";
google_color_border = "FFFFFF";
google_color_bg = "0000FF";
google_color_link = "FFFFFF";
google_color_text = "000000";
google_color_url = "008000";
</script><script type="text/javascript" src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js"></script>
I got sticker star today and it's really fun!
I got past the first world within inches of my death, it was hard to get past that boss. There was probably some special way to beat it, since I got a hint for that, but I don't care.
I love the sticker mechanic, but a bit meh with the transforming objects to stickers and using them and stuff like that. I just didn't seem to like that.
Not really a fan of them using brass and stuff like that in the music, but it's a theme.
Let me just say that if you get stuck, make sure to check if there's anything to do when you press y. (Also the toads in town can be a tiny bit annoying, but it's still good)
I'd give it a 9/10 depending on what I played so far. (World one, really)
I'll probably get a Wii U around Christmas time, but I may possibly get it next year. I don't know, but if a Zelda game comes out anytime soon (Which it won't since it was said by the devs that it MIGHT come out in 2014.) I would definitely get it.
