So I was inspired by Hans's bad endings picture.
I present trash compactor MagicPillow!

This looks so much better than the slow one! Especially the hair...even though that's not related at all to the original problem, but now I can't look at the slow one without thinking the hair is wrong. :PJorichi wrote:
But yeah, I would definitely stick with this one.
It was probably more awkward for her, though.Jorichi wrote:I also tried to jiggle the boobs a little, but that just got awkward...
Why is this the first thing I thought of when I read that?

What's up with the grey/red backgrounds?Jorichi wrote:
I use a plugin for my editor which allows me to quickly select a frame, insert how many frames, set the size, speed and background color to preview my animation and then save it as a gif. I use puush.me to upload it quickly. It saves me a ton of hassle of going through photoshop to make a gif just for a simple preview like this.jwright159 wrote:What's up with the grey/red backgrounds?
The red border comes from frame outlines I draw to keep the animation centered and easy to select for this feature. It would probably also be easy for the programmer if the sprites are already properly aligned if they were to be used.
So in short; It's the mark of my laziness.

Use RealWorld Paint. It goes fairly quickly without the border/background.
This program is overly complex for spriting and its animation options are extremely limited (I can only select rows and colomns as far as I know). My plugin is quicker, easier and has way more options. I simply do not care about the background because it's just a preview.jwright159 wrote:Use RealWorld Paint. If I want a clean gif (like my becky avatar), I can go through the extra time of setting it up in photoshop.
speaking of your avatar: it's still really slow, you should put the fast one there
You're right. Fixed it and also changed it to the one with the moving jacket.
still excited
This one took longer than it should.
Any suggestions for the next one?

Jumping/falling sprite, perhaps? Your animations look really fluid too, nice job. :)

It is great but the hair looks off
true.
The hair should probably be in a constant wave instead of trying to settle.
heres a very rough interperataion of the wave

It looks to me like there isn't enough hair, and the curl thing is mysteriously absent.
Seems like I did indeed overlook some things.
I don't really know about this one though. The hair's end don't look that subtle to me.
I changed the frame where the hair goes all the way down, added length and two locks of hair to the end and added the little wick on top, or whatever it's called.
I tried to animate the little thing, but it looks horribly off.
So how's this compared to the last one?

Still excited !Vakema123 wrote:It looks better.
I agree it should appear a little wider. I originally wanted to give it a bit of a "sideview", but that didn't work out as great.Vakema123 wrote:It looks better, but it seems like the hair should be wider to me. Like it should spread out more.
Just added a few pixels to the base of the hair's end though. Is it an improvement?
Anyways, I'm gonna try a jumping sprite now but I can't really think of a nice jumping animation atm...

Are you making a game with her ? Because i'd play it !
I usually sprite with an idea for a game in mind and Becky is no different in that. I'm making these sprites with the idea for a smooth and fast paced platformer.HowToEatGirafes wrote:Are you making a game with her ? Because i'd play it !
But I'm no programmer so don't expect it to ever happen. Though like with almost all of my sprites, ideas and projects I'd always be up to team up with a dedicated programmer to make it a reality.

The only problem I've had with all versions of that sprite is that it looks like the lower back part of her head doesn't have any hair attached to it.
As in, the hair is only attached to the top, and flows down normally.
After that, it's really well made!

As soon as I read this I saw what you meant and went to fix it, I just forgot to reply.LightningFire wrote:The only problem I've had with all versions of that sprite is that it looks like the lower back part of her head doesn't have any hair attached to it.

Hope that fixed it.
Anyways, I won't be posting all the Becky fixes and new sprites that much anymore, since I don't want to spam this thread with basically the same stuff over and over.
But I will keep you guys informed about Becky stuff.
Hold on, I just realized...
I don't think you understood.JohnHOne wrote:QwertymanO07 wrote:dead john
