Are A.P. classes worth it?

If it doesn't fit elsewhere, it should go here

So, I'm debating whether or not I should take advanced placement courses this year(junior year). Is there anyone who has taken an A.P. course, especially literature or history(this class will be a combination of the two)? What are your thoughts? Was it difficult? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So you've taken them, then? Were they extensively difficult? I generally get A's and B's in my honors classes, if that helps.
