Making 0 game Pictures/Avatars

I'm feeling really bored and since I like making hoaxes



if any one has any requests, I can send a private message (or public just tell me what you prefer)
to you, so ya can use it for you're avatar or whateva the f*ck ya want

oh btw no 3d game requests
and I need a high quality sprite sheet to work with as well as a map (if ya don't know where to find I'll search for the images my self k)

why I'm doing this
cuz I'M BORED AS FUCK THAT'S WHY!!!

ok seeing as I won't be online and I know someone won't have the patience to wait for me to get online
I present a tutorial

ok as you can see we have z3lda 2

oh and if it's an avatar you want remember the max amount of pixels for an avatar is 100x100

step 1 - collect 2 images 1 of the sprite sheet the other of a image of a level (if someone asks for credit remember to give... unless it's all riped in wich case they have no right to force you to do it seeing as they didn't do anything to help make the actual sprite, unless you want to be kind of course)

step 2 - get any kind of pic of mari0 in order to get the portal gun (edit it any way you want)

step 3 - place the gun over the sprite you are using (in this case link)

step 4 - create a portal 32 pixels wide/tall depending on how it's angled
and add ripples to the edge of said portal

step 5 - now carefull place your images on top of the map image, if the character's half way through a portal remember to place him/her/it 1 pixel away from the actual portal so it doesen't look like he/she/its going through a wall

step 6 - save and now you have an 0 game pic.

Anyways, I was thinking:
I was (and still am) a huge fan of Blaster Master when I was little. You think you can make something neat with portals and Blaster Master?

I just took a couple sprites that someone else did and put them together (with a few extra touches to make the colors fit better).
And for that matter, so did xXxrenhoekxXx. But he could be talented, I don't know.

I just made my own. You can see my purple Megaman X in the center there. He is my character, Ozuma. But, he doesn't have his purple megablaster (Ozumablaster). Instead, he has the Ozuma Science Handheld Gateway Device. With it, you can create orange and blue gateways. When stuck, remember our motto: There is a hole in the floor, through which things can soar!

it's cool, but it looks like the picture was downsized a lot, maybe in mspaint or such. I suggest working on a 100x100 or less pixels image from the start.

gimp makes more than decent animated gifs (all my entries in the artwork contest, including the winning gif were made with gimp)

I mean look at what my first GIF was
(had to use a website and did a really half assed (hooray for using programs for what they're not intendid for) job animating x( )
I just learned how to use gimp today (had to look up a tutorial on how to make a gif but lucky I'm a fast learner)

If it makes you feel any better I'm willing to make gif for you if you wanted me to.

I didn't really sprite for GIF's, but spriting while viewing the animation would be way easier.
I tried to get back to spriting in paint.NET a few days ago:

This is what took me an hour and a half (best I could do).
I also made Twilight and Rainbow Dash fooling around, but their faces were to awkward to upload.
But I don't know if I'm gonna keep spriting >.>

the only thing I find difficult to take car of in gimp with gifs is transparency, I wouldn't know how to make a pixel transparent if it was not in a previous frame. Also I'm not sure how to define the duration of each frame one by one, but I don't really care about that. Otherwise it works fine I think.

also I started using gm when it was in 6.0 when the transperancy would be in the bottom left corner.
