I can see the resemblance, but it's not Isaac based. You're person #2 that has thought this already.Jorichi wrote:First thing that popped to my mind:

It's a good game, why would you stop.

I was lucky to get one of these on Amazon.com. (My secret, I hid my modern Crayola crayons under there.)

Curse you that you hate Crayola crayons! There are the best, and the box was rare, and it was the last one on Amazon.com.
I like walking in and out of the shop to see the different faces. :)Jorichi wrote:First thing that popped to my mind:

Camewel these aren't YouTube comments.
Camewel was first to relate my avatar to Binding of Isaac though, in his defense. (Contacted me via steam asking about it)
No one defends me. =(
(This is why my army only has me in it.)

Not really. Your steam avatar's pretty cool anyways. I only use Steam when I need to talk to someone in private or if I need an answer from them immediately.renhoek wrote:no one talks to me on steam... I don't get on steam because it eats my bandwidth.
Did you knew that you can pause downloads?BobTheLawyer wrote:I don't get on steam because it eats my bandwidth.
And in the beta version, you even have a bandwidth limiter.

I don't want a limiter. I want to be off Steam.
Steam being on at all eats bandwidth.
Steam being on at all eats bandwidth.
Then pause yours downloads.
Steam don't eat all of my bandwidth for me.
And I don't have a lot of bandwidth(usually, 192kb/s)

Steam still constantly checks if I am online, or if I have recieved a message.
And it hurts my computer speed.
And it hurts my computer speed.
"And it hurts my computer speed."
Then you have a really really shitty computer.

It's a laptop. Lenovo Thinkpad, Windows 7.
don't feel like posting all the details. If you need me to I can.
I went into it on Wednesday to look for a problem, and it is just a bad design.
There are 3 things hooked up to one heat sink. (and that is the only heatsink on my computer I think, or at least the main one)

Yeah thinkpads aren't really good for gaming. They're quality laptops, though. Especially the IBM ones.BobTheLawyer wrote:It's a laptop. Lenovo Thinkpad, Windows 7.

No thanks, I'm fine.
My video card overheats a lot too these days. It's weird, it didn't happen before. It reaches 100% fan speed and about 90 degrees celsius while playing Diablo III. It happened only at Diablo until now. I've also tried to play it on low, same: video card reaches 100 degrees celsius, monitor suddenly stops, music glitches, displays message "no video input". It's weird, it didn't happen before, neither with Diablo (on highest options) or any game (still on highest options). My friends laugh at me because I have a Nvidia Geforce GTS 250, but it worked just dandy all the time, at high, with every game I played until now, at a smooth 60 fps, some even more.
All of you have it easy. I'm on a system that crashes when it tries to play YouTube!

BUT HEY, look at the good part, at least you can play some good oldies like Age of Mythology!
Be warned, Skype is a spyware.I prefer Skype's chat.
- Skype refuses to say whether it can eavesdrop on calls. That almost certain means it can do so.
- Skype gave personal data about a Wikileaks supporter to another company
without any legal obligation to do so.- Skype churns the meaning of preference settings, and
gives its users a run-around when someone cheats them.- Microsoft has changed Skype to make it easier for states to snoop on users.

I find it quite hard to care about any of these things. I'm not doing any dodgy internet activism nor am I breaking any laws. If they want to read my chat log and listen to all my calls, I don't really care.Automatik wrote:Be warned, Skype is a spyware.I prefer Skype's chat.

I also don't do activism or anything like that, but it still bother me that someone can read things from my private life.
Spiral Knights isn't that memory intensive at all... Until after the horrific UI update, at least. Now I play on Neosaneo5's computer(3GHz dual core, 8gb of memory).BobTheLawyer wrote:Then how do you play Spiral Knights?aveond wrote:All of you have it easy. Richard Stallman is a paranoid freetard. Just look at this:Automatik wrote:Be warned, Skype is a spyware.I prefer Skype's chat.

that being said, IRC is the best way of talking to peopleDebian's Social Contract states the goal of making Debian entirely free software, and Debian conscientiously keeps nonfree software out of the official Debian system. However, Debian also provides a repository of nonfree software. According to the project, this software is “not part of the Debian system,” but the repository is hosted on many of the project's main servers, and people can readily learn about these nonfree packages by browsing Debian's online package database.
There is also a “contrib” repository; its packages are free, but some of them exist to load separately distributed proprietary programs. This too is not thoroughly separated from the main Debian distribution.
Previous releases of Debian included nonfree blobs with Linux, the kernel. With the release of Debian 6.0 (“squeeze”) in February 2011, these blobs have been moved out of the main distribution to separate packages in the nonfree repository. However, the problem partly remains: the installer in some cases recommends these nonfree firmware files for the peripherals on the machine.
Just for the record, Stallman is completely batshit about anything that isn't 100% in every way free software.Automatik wrote:Be warned, Skype is a spyware.I prefer Skype's chat.

1) You could say that about pretty much any IM service that isn't p2p.
2) "Did Skype Give a Private Company Data on Teen WikiLeaks Supporter Without a Warrant?". It ends with a question mark and is an allegation. It doesn't have any actual evidence on such a thing happening.
3) Getting hacked/phished is no good either way, but you can't expect all the costs of that to be covered unless it's the provider's fault.
4) While I wouldn't be at all surprised (though I wouldn't approved either), that artice is also just an allegation of sorts. The anonymous sources claimed that Microsoft has a good history of working with law enforcement (which is true, they even have tools like Microsoft COFEE)
tl;dr it's about as bad as facebook or twitter or steam or whatever.
