Our modem died... I never realized how much we used the internet until it went out...
So I won't be around that much until we get a new one... Hopefully soon.
EDIT: And it's back up. The problem was the adapter. Phew...

Yeah, he got hacked I think... he sent me the exact same thing and I asked him who his Twatter Story character was, he said something like "I don't remember that game."

I didn't, even cuz I dont have any iDevice, but I'm a LP fan too, and...seriously, most of those 8-Bit are not that good as people think, they could have been made much better, they seem like they're made by some amateur.
About the game itself...I've seen some vids sometime ago, and it seems pretty poor, not much stuf to do except smasing enemies to collect what you need to colect to unlock stuff, plus the "social network" part of it which i think is just an excuse to make the game more interesting to LP fans(you know, the "lets do it together!" and the "we're part of the same thing in the same virtual world" things make almost every game more appealing than it really is).
Not to mention that all the sprites, backgrounds, animations and everything else but the soundtrack(and a few small exceptions) is everything but 8-Bit.
A small "fun" game which is fun just if you are a LP fan, nothing more. IMO of course.

It is almost anything but 8-bit when you think about it, like you said. I think a better name could have been Retro Rebellion, the name sounds better and fits the game better in my opinion. I do really enjoy the game, but it does disappoint, up until today, it's always had connection issues and wasn't updated for two years even though they said they'd update the game with more mission and stuff and never did once. For the most part, the enemies are just run up and use whatever weapon you have (I personally use the laser/ray/whateveritis gun because it kills in one shot). There's a few bosses at the end of the game that are decent. The 8-bit music could have done better (One Step Closer barely sound the same at all!) and some were made into ringtones and not even put in game. I guess it is probably more appealing if your a Linkin Park fan, but if you aren't, it still is pretty fun. Something I really wish they could have done was add their old designs opposed to the ones in the game http://www.freewebs.com/lpmusic/8BR5.png

Once my phone rejailbreaks, I might do a full playthrough for YouTube (modding in my avatar for uniqueness)

My avatar was actually based on the character I made in the game (it's not just an edited version of it, I redrew it since this was waaay before I knew how to get images out of the game), and recently I found out how to edit the game files, so I made an image of my character to put in

Also, I'm making a custom Mari0 mappack using Infinite Worlds and Better Level Editor. It has my own custom tileset but I failed to make a repeating pattern for certain blocks that are striped.

If i remember well, it should be one of the "almost" non-sense phrases that one(or more) of the TheSims/SimCity games show up while loading.
