I have trouble with large enclosures without any obstructions. There is a Best Buy where I live. Inside, the shelves are no higher than about 1.3 meters. I can see over EVERYTHING. I get short of breath and dizzy. The parking lot just outside is fine though. What's the phobia for wide open enclosures?

Nope. I love wide open spaces ..when they're outdoors. The large spaces that have walls around them are the ones that make me uneasy.

I actually found my arachnophobia quite useful in some circumstances...
Because spiders are most likely to be small indoors every time there's something small on the wall or on the floor that dosent really stand out I immediately get my eyes on it so its quite useful sometimes like finding wally waldo or whatever or even looking for lost key ring.

But because of scumbag brain my eyes quickly jump to the smallest thing in the room and if its a spider...
1.I quickly make a plan of what i'm going to do
2.The plan is usually retarded and unhelpful (Last time i ended up tearing the towel holder from the bathroom wall and started hugging it don't ask me why)
3.I quickly do the plan and when it dosent work I sit in the corner of the room panicking
4.After the spider is gone I have a panic attack for about 4 hours then i calm down and realize that my plan was retarded

I think I have arachnophobia now too. I was cleaning my like 8 year old tricycle in my backyard today (don't even ask) and when I flipped it over, there were at least 20 black widows scrambling around. Spiders creep me out now.

I have two fears:
A fear of losing control of myself, in any way shape or form (and all that entails; I'm not even a big fan of going to sleep at night)
A fear of heights (specifically that what I'm on will break, and that I won't have any control over my falling speed and the landing will break something; ties in with above)
