Every time I attempt to make a server, I get this message:
image.png
image.png (182.76 KiB) Viewed 11550 times
I have searched some tutorials to get online multiplayer working, but none of those worked for me

I've tried (and none of those worked):
- Running the game as an administrator
- Creating new user account in Windows
- Reinstalling Mari0 Alesan's Entities

My Mari0 Alesan's Entities is installed in "C:\Users\Windows XP\Documents\Mari0 AE", Mari0 executable is in the Mari0 AE folder. Mari0 Alesan's Entities executable is set properly

Thanks in advance for your advices and help

Hello,

Thanks for your reply
Unfortunately I can't port forward to get online multiplayer working. I don't have any mods installed or something
I don't know what else I should try

If you can't port forward, you cannot host.

Without port forwarding, people will be unable to physically access your computer and connect to your server.

Thanks for your reply, but is there a way to fix this problem?

Port forwarding is the literal definition of "letting people connect to your computer". If you cannot port forward, you cannot host.

I have no idea what you mean otherwise.

I think I'm trying to make a server and people won't be able to access my computer and connect to my server

Luckily I found a tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YN2WdkqJ8OM

VPNs are fine I guess but could be a security issue.

ZeroTier is a VPN, only people in your VPN will be able to connect.

Otherwise, without port forwarding, you can't host for anyone else.

The image in your original post has "LOOK UP A TUTORIAL!!!" written on it.

Consider googling your router name + "port forward"
The actual method to port forward differs depending on the router.

You're doing everything but literally what Techno is asking.

This is good tutorial, please actually watch it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obfslB7 ... nnel=Qcode

I tried, but it's not working
it will say that the username/password is invalid
how do I fix that?

What do you think it means, the username or password is probably wrong.

okay have you tried not putting an invalid username/password?

if you're going to reply "how do i do that" then that's just going to lead me to reply with "put in a username/password that's valid" because no one here's gonna know your password.

if you still don't know how, consider contacting your network's administrator, or try looking up your router brand's default logins. don't be a broken record.

I just put a valid username and password and nothing has changed. I really want to play with people online

Even reloading the "port forward website" won't let me bypass this "Your username/password is invalid. Please try again" screen

Any ideas? I can't port forward. I really don't know how to fix this, I think I have tried everything
I also copied the Mari0 AE folder to "D:\Games" and it didn't work
So I assume that I upgraded my computer from Windows 7 to Windows 10

And also everything is correct, I played Mari0 in the past, maybe some of the system components are missing, who knows.
