Mari0 Alesan99's Entities Character Thread
This is my first time here and all, but i made some hats, and a working bob-omb buddy.
The hat is cappy, please download BOTH of the files, cappybig is NOT an extra hat.
And the bob-omb buddy, he has two forms: idle and walking. You cant stomp him, the only way you can really kill them is with the super star or the blue shell. Oh, and he was based off of the oneup too, didn't know how to change the name.

It works with most things, but if the platform isn't configured to hold custom enemies, then the hammer (which is a custom enemy) won't stick to it. That's not an issue with the char though, I can't fix it.

Getting Over It Mario

Pretty much just a random thing I decided to make, took me about a week. It's a character meant to semi-accurately replicate the movement system from "Getting Over It" by Bennet Foddy, a game I have not played, where you can only move by pushing yourself using a hammer. This uses mouse controls, so don't use a controller. Also included in the download is an example mappack with a tutorial, which you should play even if you're familiar with the original game. The mappack uses a custom enemy camera because it works better with the char, from here: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=5447. He can also be used in regular mappacks, and trying to beat them while using him makes for an interesting challenge.
This is a character and a mappack, not a mod. Built for Alesan's Entities V13d. To use, unzip the file, place the character in the "characters" folder, and the mappack in your "mappacks" folder. There are a few minor bugs mostly stemming from Mari0's imperfect physics engine, but if there's actually a serious glitch with the character then you should report it to me.

I'm currently running the latest version of Alesan's Entities with this Character Pack, and when going to the Multiplayer Menu the game crashes.
I'm not sure if there's a way to fix this as it could be a multiplayer menu issue with trying to render the character, but I'm not truly sure
Here's the error code if anyone or the pack creator would like to investigate:

Try:
Freeing up space on your laptop
Reinstalling Mari0 AE
Get rid of any unnecessary mappacks, characters, or hats
Change your character
Keep trying

It is an issue with the multiplayer menu. It's only made for characters with at least 3 run frames. They don't work very well in online multiplayer anyways so I wouldn't worry about it.

Why I made this?:
After upon Martin being in a portal game in the recent Portal commercial from Geico... I'd thought maybe I could take a toll on putting martin inside of Mari0... Overall so far he hasn't got any special moves (as of yet) Overall I'm pretty sure what I did was something basic since I'm kinda new to modding but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get atleast good at doing this down the road.
Anyways... enjoy this lil' crossover character mod that I did.

These are honestly just generally bad I'm just uploading them to those who are curious

I know no one asked, but in case if you want your character to not have a portal gun but don't want to use cheats, use this code:
If you're putting this code in the last line of your character, remove the comma

So, just a question, how do I add shading on the characters and also make it colorable? Like, multiple colors on a category, like for example - 3 colors each on hat, on skin, etc. How could that be added?
Use the white image layer method for colorables, but shade them using grey

New Luigi! This is one of my most favorite Mario characters. Since I play as him, I now forgot who SMB Mario looks like.😅
I know it's out of topic but it's just to ensure that Luigi looks better like in the spritesheet than how he looks as just a recolor of Mario. It took me almost so many weeks to set the offsets and quadcenters! It also took me a day to set the hats too! This character is compatible with any mappack (that doesn't have portal gun). There is a code inside the character's config that looks like this:
The code ensures that the player's spritesheet isn't wide, it also ensures that portal guns are not allowed with the character.

I converted some characters from Mari0 SE to Mari0 AE. Technically it is already possible to play characters from Mari0 SE in Mari0 AE, but they are very glitcheds, so I decided to convert some characters that I liked. this is the first SE-AE character conversion pack and it has:
-Aozora (by SuperJustinBros)
-Bast (by Qwerbey)
-Cheerio (it actually came from a 1.6 mod but I decided to include it anyway, and by TripleXero)
-NSMB Mario (by Alesan99)
I don't know if I'll do more conversions but if I decide to do it, it won't be now because I'm busy with many projects.
