APRIL FOOLS:
No level editor any more seems unlikely.
Maurice is a bit of a dick like that

NOT APRIL FOOLS:
Maurice is being all cryptic.
At one point Sašo runs offscreen and grabs a mushroom without the camera scrolling after him, meaning either he did it blind, or he did it online.
Level editor being gone could just be so he has a place to put online.
Already posted screenshots showing some kind of working online multiplayer.
Online has to come at some point.
Also, Maurice deleted the post that said April Fools.

If this is an april fools joke, it was planned greatly and looks fairly good for it. But a rude joke at that as you know players would want something that bad. Not a bad one, just not one to be proud of. Could have done some other things obviously.
