Here is where you post tricks and little-used features you learned for the use of BBCode, especially in reference to this forum.

These are a few I know:

Spoiler Tags:
[spoiler.] tags can be used like a collapse tag, though the tags aren't in the top bar. They can be placed in a collapse to make another layer.

SMALL CAPS:
Make the entire text in capital letters, then set the size of what should be lowercase to 85. Remember to keep spaces and punctuation size 100, though.
Text in [sp.] tags will only be  colored  if the [color] tags are inside the   tags.[hr][/hr][hr] tags:[/b]
It's just a horizontal page break. Don't put anything in them.[hr][/hr][quote="TurretBot"]Not really a trick, but here's how [anchor] and [anchorl] work.

[anchor.]words[/anchor] = where the anchor will send you to
[anchorl=words.]anchor[./anchorl] = link that sends you there

Though it doesn't have to be "words", it can be anything as long as it matches.[/quote][hr][/hr]

A really big thing is that you can, with the exception of those in locked threads, quote a post to see how the BBCode works.

You can change properties of quote's names+"wrote" like so:

HugoBDesigner wrote:Something something cliffhanger

Changing only the name's properties is also easy:
HugoBDesigner wrote:
[color=#BF0000]SOMEONE ELSE[/color] actually wrote:Something something cliffhanger

You can showcase tags like [b], [quote], [img], [url], [youtube], etcetera, without having to use size 1 text. Use size 100 instead!
As Qwerty already mentioned, you can have spoilers under collapsibles, but, just for showcase purposes, here's it in action:
Look at this awesome image!
Nope.

The opposite is also true...
Something.
CLIFFHANGER

I'm pretty sure I had more tricks, but I forgot. Well, at least I'm helping, right?

Not really a trick, but here's how [anchor] and [anchorl] work.

[anchor.]words[/anchor] = where the anchor will send you to
[anchorl=words.]anchor[./anchorl] = link that sends you there

Though it doesn't have to be "words", it can be anything as long as it matches.
Now for an actual trick (which I just used):
You can show bbcode tags as raw text by [sp.]placing some size 1 text inside of it.[/sp]
The name section of the [quote.] tags can support some BBCode.

That gif in the "name" of the quote tag trick is pretty awesome

Here's Hugo's quote name+"wrote" trick showcased better:

][quote="HugoBDesigner"[/size]]Something something cliffhanger[/quote]
Another really big thing is that you can, with the exception of those in locked threads, quote a post to see how the BBCode works.
If you can't think of a good name for your [collapse] tag, you can always just use spaces.
[collapse= ]Image[/collapse]

Other ways of showing off tags are with [color=#008000]COLORS![/color]
Empty tags would work if they weren't automatically removed, so there's that.

While trying to find empty tags, I found out that [center][/center] breaks lines,like so. Not really useful, though...

This is pretty much just me messing around.
supAnd Sub stack.
YOU CAN EVEN MAKE SMALL CAPS... SORT OF.
Similar to MM102's:
But this one has a cool red line.

This one might confuse you: http://imgur.com/ilkNarC.png
This text was written outside of the spoiler.[/collapse]
This text was written outside of the collapse.[/spoiler]
What happens when you place a [sp.] through a collapse:
 No space at the end[collapse=Left untouched]No background[/collapse]No spaces[collapse=Left untouched]No background[/collapse]No space at the beginning
Codeboxes still work...sort of: they don't actually work And because I like to break everything, the world's first always-open spoiler!
lol

Yes, it failed. Check the thread anyways. Saso, if you're reading, please make images match easier. Thanks :)

When used correctly (like in the thread I'm linking), they can make a post 3000x better

You can do centered text instead of images which can be colored AND searchable. Making the entire text an image makes it look worse, not better and it's something anyone who works with any media that has or can have text which has to be updated will advise you against. Images can still be used for links and to add flair, but if you want to have fancy backgrounds and borders you'll be better off using a .html file with some fancy css.

[del]add fancy css tags[/del]

BBCode abuse:
[list][*][collapse=First point][*]Second point[/collapse][*]Third point[spoiler][*]Fourth point[/spoiler]WRITING OUTSIDE OF THE POST[/list]

EDIT: Everything I write after that is also outside of the post. Also, I'm really curious if this will lead to, like, a post invasion or something.

I accidentally broke the forum width. Doesn't look like future posts go back to the width it was previously.
Also I still have no idea what Turret did I just quoted his post.

This is the part where the entire subforum gets locked. God damnit B-Man.

I'm only sad because there wasn't a post invasion though.

[list][*][collapse=A][*]B[/collapse][/list][/list]

[size=150]I reproduced the glitch.
Just create a list, insert a [*], then insert a collapse next to it. Inside of that collapse, insert another [*]. Then, put a lot of spaces. Finally, insert two /list. Boom, post is broken.
Just check the code of this post. Easily understandable.[/size][/list]
