[Suggestion] Spoiler Tags

I think this forum needs spoiler tags.
Even though " " is for spoilers, and that "[code]" can shorten posts, there should be another spoiler tag, that does something like this:

This can be useful for adding "[img]" tags and such for a mappack/mod thread.
"[code]" tags can work, but can't display images, and " " tags don't shorten the message, or show images.

For my tagname suggestion, it should be "[spl]", which stands for "Spoiler List". It could even be "[spb]" for "Spoiler Button".

I second that.

Yeah, this forum needs those.

I thought of that, but didn't care until I made a mappack, but of course by then I had forgotten about it. Great idea!

I agree on this. Those spoiler tags would be way better than the ones we currently have.

If you want to post images without making your post huge, use scale one when taking pictures, or just link to them instead. If the image isn't a spoiler it's weird to make a tag called "spoiler" to put it in, especially as we already have spoiler tags which take up less space. The spoiler thing you posted is actually quite bulky, and since you'd have to click to show anyway, a linked picture makes more sense.

Linked pic makes less sense.
You'd have to go to an outside website.
This is just a little box you can open and close easily.

The spoiler thing has its visual appeal, but direct links and such are way more functional. You can upload it to sites like Imgur (image uploading websites) and have a direct link to it (and how would that make much of a difference from using [image] within
?), so the 'outside website' can be limited quite easily. Plus you can make the link spell out whatever you want it to. Resizing an image isn't rocket science either, so stop being lazy.
These spoiler tags are only useful in huge posts, of which there are only as many that can be counted on one hand.
The problem is that it's more likely to be abused then used in the way that it's supposed to be, which is my personal fear on this subject.

The pyramid of spoilers... heh
I've seen that.
Is that the abuse you mean?

It's useful to have if you're taking tons of screenshots, especially if you want them in Scale 2.
It also just makes the thread more compact in general. :)

If I need to describe something in detail, which isn't essential, but some people may want, to save room, I can put it in spoilers.
Allows me to use a lot of space in a little.

Okay fine.

Just don't misuse it or heads roll.

I can misuse it though because I'm me.

Red line

Do we have to have the red line for spoilers?
