I'm obviously not part of the team, but I would expect he's probably just done a small little prototype of it, and will only start making real progress on it after Mari0 is finished. Don't rush him :)

It's actually pretty much done.

However it's on hold since I believed the controls were too confusing, especially at fast rotation.

Blame me.

I think a NotPacman Beta is necessary for us to tell if you controls are confusing or not. :D

Pacman was one of the first games I fell in love with (under Galika) so if you don't finish it, I will come to your house Saso....

Not nearly as bad as I thought It would be.

Not so much confusIng, as It Is touchy. EspecIally for tracpaders lIke myself.

DIal down the roataIon speed slIghtly and It should be fIne.

That's actually kind of fun. It takes a bit of strategy. But it's very difficult with a touch pad.

I use a trackpad, and find this perfectly fine! I even made a LOVE2D application for it. The controls are easy, the top of the maze always points at your mouse. Simple as that! Once I got that down it was awesome! Another cool game from Stabyourself!

1. downlaod the lua fIle.

2. download the proper lua player

3.ClIck and drag the fIle on to the lua player.

It should run from there.

I can't get it to work normally on my other computer, but I can get it to work in Ubuntu under virtual box on said computer. unfortunately, upon installation of Ubuntu, virtual box reported to me that 2d acceleration was only available under windows hosts.. I was only able to get about 10 - 15fps. you might try other product like windows virtual pc, or microsoft virtual pc 2004/2007. I'm gonna try a bunch of stuff tonight just to see what works and what doesn't.

audio.lua:1: in function 'newSource'
main.lua:66: in function 'load

it said this in white letter on alight blue background

Well, whenever I loaded it, it would just show the logo screen for LOVE, rather than playing the game. But for some reason it works now, not really sure why.

I don't think thats a bug remember that this game is unfinished so Maurice must have never programmed it in.

Still, I don't see why Maurice stopped dev.ing it. A few codes here and there would perfect it.

true all he'd have to do is program the pellets and fix some glitches that may be lurking around and It should be finished (we don't need anything to fancy e.g. score boards...)

I had some ...technical difficulties...It's kinda big. 5.8 megabytes big..sorry..

You might just want to save it to your computer.

(does anyone know of a good way to make .gifs smaller?? I tried some different .gif
optimizers and they all came up with -out of system resources errors. not hijacking
the thread.. just pm me or something??)

I took a shot at geting a gameplay video and my gif file ended up being 10mb so I give up. the controls are abit difficult at times but easy to get used to. this is indeed fun game!

I'm not too worried about it.. I got it to upload so I guess it's good enough. As for the controls, I had some thoughts.. perhaps just moving the mouse left/right or up/down could rotate the board. or perhaps be able to choose between the current way to control it and the up/down and left/ right mouse thing.

it is pretty amazing but needs full screen but a idea for you is use the arrow keys instead of the mouse or be able to change almost ready to be released.

Since Maurice is embarking on other projects, where does this leave Mari0? Is it just another project? Or will it be a lot more?

I just tried it, but it gave me these Errors (on XP SP2) in LOVE 0.8:

When selecting regular mode:

When selecting time-attack mode:

I don't expect that this will be solved soon (as there is much more effort in mari0 i guess), but i thought, i'll just tell you.
