its been 1 year, 6 months, 8 days since my last post and its about a mod for 1.6.2
Tasb0t is a mod built for TASing mari0 by displaying important information, including an in game timer, minimap and more
If you would like to make Mari0 tases yourself consider checking out this thread by Noahkiq!
(TAS move file shown above by Noahkiq)
- Release Version 1.1
- Minimap bg will be white if a map has the default portal background
- The timer now increments on the frame the timer end key is pressed
- Only gui text is outlined
Release Version 1.0 - Have a seperate options.txt called tasoptions.txt specific for the version
- Made the txt file more readable for easy editing - Display speed, position, and portalgun status for each player
- If more than one player, player's info will be displayed in their color
- Pressing 'i' will toggle this info on and off, useful for if it covers a lot of the screen
- This key is editable from within tasoptions.txt
- This also shows the in game time and will be red if its a firework time
- Black screen transition times are also drawn to help know when a level is going to start - Play as everyone's favorite robot R.O.B. (Tasbot)
- Mario is still playable if you set dothemario to true in tasoptions.txt
- Mario and Tasbot have seperate saveable colors/hats - Minimap of the level
- Shows the current screen position relative to the level
- Good for TASes with more than one player
- fun for encodes
- Displays all player positions using their portal 1 color
- Configurable width in tasoptions.txt (measured in blocks, default 25)
- Can be disabled in tasoptions.txt - Timer
- Starts on game launch and stops once the mappack is finished
- Individual times for each level are also calculated
- Timer is shown at all times even between black screen transitions
- Timer will display green to show its stopped
- Pressing 'o' will forcibly stop the Timer
- Useful for stopping the timer with your last input incase you fling yourself to the goal
- This key is editable from within tasoptions.txt
- Configurable timer offset in tasoptions.txt (useful for syncing the timer with LibTAS)
- Can be disabled in tasoptions.txt - Text outline
- Outlines all text with code stolen from Mari0:SE!
- Allows the UI to be seen against any background
- Can be disabled in tasoptions.txt
- Might break some text in the options/editor (purely visual) - Configurable player name
- player name is configurable in tasoptions.txt
- useful for movie encodes to show the TAS author or any text - Changes nothing gameplaywise
- LibTAS movies should sync up with non modified versions of Mari0 1.6.2 - Misc features
- GUI is drawn above cube/gel dispensers
- as a result entities such as cubes are drawn above dispensers
- Implements controller fixes and Love2D v.11 support found in Mari0 1.6.2
- Fixed konami code for Love2D v.11
