Qcode's Christmas-Gift Mod-Challenge thing

So you guys will probably remember these from last year, when Idiot, Camewel, Kiashi, and Hugo did requests for spriting and coding as a holidays gift. I never got round to making a thread last year, and figured I would this year cause why the hell not.

Since I've gotten my name on more mods than anyone else, I decided I'd do modding.
For reference:
Infinite Worlds: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2457
Online Mod: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4440
Ace Attorney: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3567
Mari0 Eqtended: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4395
Lazers: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4386
Mari0 HEC: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3477
Alesan’s entities: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3636
SMB + viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3096
Mari0 Half Life Mod: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3524
Game Grumps mod: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3402
Mari0: Infinite Things: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3391
All Night Stabyourself Bros: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2805
Turtle’s Entities: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2231
3-up, 5-up, 10-up mod viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3041 (Technically my name isn’t on this, but I did help code it viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3039)
Mari0: More Power-ups viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2158 (MY FIRST MOD)
Mari0 Auto-Generated Mappacks: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3172
One slight difference between my thread and the others, is that mine isn't going to be first-come, first-serve. I'm going to be picking which mods sound the most fun to play. I'm only going to be doing 7 requests, so I'm doing this to avoid some people working hard on their concepts, only to find that all the slots have been taken up.

Ideally your requests would be somewhat like the stuff in the Eqtended mod or the eXTended mod, fun game modifiers rather than just "code a few entities for a mappack that will never actually be made". I have no objections to coding entities, it's just I want these mods to be things that can be fun for everyone, not just a singular person.

Please include the following in your mod request:
  • Which Mari0 version (1.6, SE, or someone else's mod). I prefer them in that order, might influence my decision
  • Key concepts, explained well (at least 4 sentences)
  • Sprites or graphics you'd want me to use, if they're needed. They don't necessarily need to be made by you, I'll use rips from another game if you want me to. Otherwise, expect bad artwork.
The only mod that I won't add more to as a request is the online mod. I don't want separate incompatible versions floating around.

Feel free to post in this thread even if you just want to comment that you like someone else's request. I'd like to know which mods people would actually like to play.

You can make multiple different requests, however I'll only take one request per person. Of course, if I get more than 7 requests, they'll be some mods that won't be made. Nothing personal if I don't pick yours, it just means it didn't sound as fun as the other entries.

I'm making this thread now, in one week (December 24th) I'm going to start finishing up the requests, one per day.

THE LIST:
Dec 24 - Hugo's Mod
Dec 25 - Wilo's Mod
Dec 26 - Mari0Maker's Mod
Dec 27 - Wary's Mod
Dec 28 - MM102's Mod
Dec 29 - Turret's Mod
Dec 30 - Firaga's Mod
So yeah, have fun coming up with ideas. If you've always had a concept for a mod you've wanted made, now's your chance!

VVVVVV Mode Mod.

Press [button here] to reverse Gravity.
It doesn't require 4 sentences to describe such a mod.

1.6 would be preferrable.

Could you add blue shell (like Bob's K00pa mod), Item box (Thing that holds an item you collected), SMB3 hitstyle,(If hit while Fire Mario, turn back to Super Mario) and maybe an option to start as Super Mario to alesan's entities? Thanks.

Hopefully this year I'll finish last year's list plus make more. I really felt bad when I was unable to finish the drawing requests (due to computer problems at the time).

Anyway, my idea should be pretty simple: something like an "Ender Pearl" mode, where you teleport to where you shoot. Whether it goes on a straight line or is affected by gravity is up to you :P

EDIT: Forgot to put version... Um, 1.6?

A grappling hook mod.

When you press E, a grappling hook comes out and latches to surfaces. When you're attacked to a ceiling, up and down to rappel. When you are hanging off a ceiling, you can swing using the left and right controls. Q to release the grappling hook.
It knocks enemies back if they are hit, but will not injure them.

A cheat to replace the portal gun with a laser that kills mobs and reflects off of mirrors. (Possibly also a recharge time in between attacks). Special Edition (should we put which SE version?)

a mod for 1.6 in which the fire flower doesn't kill enemies but duplicates them, turns coins into solid tiles that can't be collected and replaces the following sounds:
"bowser's fire" with "why do we have to wear these ridiculous ties?"
"jump" with a clip of a trumpet playing a whole note
"death" with a clip of Microsoft sam saying "you are lose"
Also can you replace all the default music in the game with a ridiculous song performed by elderly people
that's all

If you put SE but no SE version, I'll just assume beta 9. If no version is posted at all, I'm just going to use 1.6.

This is so absurd but I actually kinda want to do it

A mod for 1.6 that "when you press f it prints money." If you remember, Camewel said this during one of your streams.
Mario throws money in which ever direction your portal gun is pointing and make it able to defeat enemies in one hit. Add anything else you think might be fun, but if you can't think of anything else than just do what the above says.

Online Multiplayer for Mari0 SE beta 9

I just want a simple mod that changes the map screen in beta 9 to Hans's idea.
If you need graphics I can provide them.

An SE beta 9 mod where whenever you jump, you explode. The explosion takes out everything on the screen, including bricks.

Oh, well, i don't know if this problem is happening to everyone else, but i can't see the images on that post (thanks photobucket -_- ) so i reuploaded them on imgur (thanks imgur :D), since i can't edit the original post i'll just quote it here (in a spoiler):
Hans1998 wrote: I had two ideas for that:

The first one was this, the level number goes up to the minimaps, and their category (Main, Sub 1, Sub 2) is simplified (M, S1, S2) and written on the top left corner of the minimap.

The second idea is better (IMO) that the first one:
Image
The minimaps only show the first 100 (or 50) tiles of the actual map, so they don't take too much space, the plus buttons at the right of the levels add a sublevel, and the plus button below the last level adds a new level. This way doesn't allow new more than 4 levels in a world, but i think there is one way to do it.

EDIT: And here it is:
Image
All the eight (having only eight worlds is not a big trouble, right?) are represented in the map tab, all of them have a plus button to add a level, so you can add more than four.

A mod where things that happen in the level are remembered (which ?-blocks you hit, enemies killed etc.), and then you have to play that level again with those changes applied until there aren't any changes left to make until whatever condition you want to set (I have nothing in mind :P, maybe customly selected?)

The "objects" feature of Bob's Better Editor, for SE beta 9 mapfix. Doesn't have to be mapfix but I'd really prefer it, since the mappack I'm making has a really huge start and exit section in each level, it would be very tedious to have to rebuild it from scratch over and over, and it's in beta 9 mapfix.

List is up! Check main post for it.
First mod will be coming later today.

EDIT: Hugo's Mod is up and ready for download

Press Tab to switch into ender pearl mode. Hold left-click to charge shot, release to shoot. Portals work with the ender pearls too.

Wilo's Mod is ready for download

Nothing really to note here other than expect this to slightly mess up your mappacks (cause of the coin -> solid block thing)

Mari0Maker's Mod is ready for Download

Decided to change it to press tab to switch to money-mode. Pressing F would mess with some people's controls.
Money bounces off of blocks, kills enemies, and gives you knockback.

Since there's a recurring theme of pressing tab, press tab to activate vvvvvv mode.

Is it possible to check if there's a block above him? If so, that could possibly be a better trigger.
Just throwing ideas out.

That sounds kinda annoying, you'd try to get a mushroom out of a block and you'd automatically flip.

MM102's Mod is ready for download.

Took a while to make, having to mostly strip down the old GUI. This also fixes the bug where the map selection gui is still active when not on the screen, so now you can place tiles without the worry of being bumped onto another level.

EDIT:

Turret's Mod is ready for download

Did it somewhat NES remix like, you have to play through a level repeatedly until you satisfy the objective. You were kind of vague in what you wanted so I hope this is alright.

I didn't get a very good video for this, just wanted to show that you can beat a level and have the changes saved.

I know, I've needed to post-pone it due to me being a bit behind on school work. It's still coming, and I've talked to Firaga about it and she's fine with the delay, so everything's cool.

Shame this took so long, but Firaga's mod is finally ready for download

Controls are as stated in Firaga's original post, E to launch, Q to disconnect. You need to be in-air to launch though (just so weird stuff doesn't happen)

Again, sorry this took so long. Got caught up in school work that was assigned over the christmas break, and then there were exams coming up, wanted to focus on those first.

Might be kinda glitchy, grappling hooks were definitely harder to implement than I first suspected. I also didn't use any proper physics in making it (just used BS combination of different maths until it worked), so again, weird things might happen.

Thanks once again everyone for submitting your ideas, this was a pretty fun thing to do.
