HOW DO YOU MOD MARI0
1. For version Mari0 1.6, you need LOVE 0.8.0. For Mari0 SE mods, you need LOVE 0.9.0.
2. You need to run the mod with LOVE, if you don't have it set, a dialog box should come up asking you what application you would like to run it in.
If you want to mod Mari0 itself, you need to change the extension of the .love file from a .love to .zip. This will allow you to modify the files. I would reccomend getting a program like WinRAR, though this is not needed on some OS's and versions.
Hope this helps!

If you do have a program that can look into mari0's source you can modify some of the .lua files
For example, Variables.lua. you can modify them via notepad if you open it with it. In variables you can set how fast the player runs or walks or how high mario jumps.
Even how much fireballs you can throw on the screen.
