Thx for adding Super Mario Bros 3 Bowser! This boss will allow for Super Mario 3d Land style Bowser battles! BTW, can someone please make Super Mario Mania styled graphics for all of the entities and tiles, including the entities in this mod? (By Super Mario Mania, I mean Super Mario Bros 1 graphics updated in the same way as Sonic Mania)

I'll update the android port and fix the vertical scrolling someday soon. I might also begin making a short mappack for a youtube video to showcase the koopalings.
As for when the next update will be made, i don't know. I'm gonna be busy with school for a while, which is why I released the update as fast as possible. I'd also rather spend whatever free time I have working on an original game.
alesan99 wrote:NEW UPDATE
The new update is finished!
There's a lot of new cool stuff added, most importantly the koopalings (and bowser).
There are also new features like adding levels and custom sounds!
Not to mention that there are some big bug fixes, like checkpoints in sublevels and controller support.
-----0.10.0 8-----
added koopalings
added bowser from super mario bros 3
added big mushroom
added ice bros
added mappack icon in editor (drag file into square to add icon)
added classic cheat mode
added new level button
added custom sounds
added super mario maker bomb-ombs
added super mario maker fish bones
fixed controller support
fixed checkpoints in sublevels (You can also link them now)
fixed portalable surface indicator on button blocks, slopes, nocollision pipe
minimap in editor can now scroll vertically
made camera in vertical levels better
sorted custom tab dropdown alphabetically
region triggers can be set to half-tiles
fighting multiple boom booms and koopalings works now
moles bounce off of walls and spawn normally if not on top of a block
characters now have config files with colors (these allow custom colors and hats)
springs work in intermissions
boomboom can be turned into an enemy
mapheight txt files are no longer used
fire and ice bros can hurt other enemies
Other minor tweaks and many bugfixes
I have a suggestion. Would you be interested in adding Wario (Behaviors from Super Mario Land 2) or even better, a boss that is simalar to Metal Sonic? (Mecha-Mario could work.)

The networking code at the moment is basically just the code from the udp tutorial copy-pasted with a few things changed. I figured it would be easier that way.
But the menus were taken from a SE Beta with your drawplayercard function because it was missing for some reason. I do plan on improving the menus.
RealGabdhhf wrote:online multiplayer? interesting, but are you busy with school? if so, then this protect is going to sleep for a long time until you have time for it
I don't have much time to work on it, so I only added the very basics so I start working on it seriously later.
But yeah, the new update probably won't come out until around the end of the year.

Probably a wise decision, that code hasn't aged well. Funny though, that tutorial was the same resource I started with when I started learning how to make online multiplayer.

Exact same thing happened to me, found the menus, but I had to write my own drawplayercard function (just tried to recreate it from Maurice's demo videos).
Well, if you do continue with this (bravo if you do, it'll be a huge undertaking with all the extra stuff you've added), and you get stumped on anything, feel free to contact me. Whether I'll be able to help is a different matter because all my online code's 3 years old, but I might remember some tricks up my sleeve that I had when I went through the process, who knows.
In the future, do you plan on releasing a version of Mari0 Alesan 99 Enteties for Chromebook? There are some Chromebooks that have an update that adds support for APK files and the Google Play Store. Some devices have the update on the stable channel, and some devices have it on the beta channel, and some devices are planned to have the update. You can make the Chromebook version of this mod by using the android version, but removing the mobile features so it is exactly like the ther versions. Here is a list of the Chromebook devices that either have the update or are planned to have it: https://www.androidcentral.com/these-ar ... droid-apps

I'll probably do once its implemented and if someone needs it. If there isn't a need for any changes its possible to download the .love file and put it through a apk converter.

Okey Dokey! Do you plan on adding the rest of the enemies from your Alesan 99 Enemies Pack to the mod? (Yellow Koopas, Bomb-shelled Koopas, and Pipe Cannons)
EDIT: Also, would you please use your Customizable Goomba Mod (or update this mod to SE) to add customizable enemies to this mod? I would love to recreate some Classic Sonic enemies and bosses. (Including the ones from Sonic Mania.)
Edit: On the Android port, scrolling and drop down menus in the level editor are not working, and the controls are in the wrong place. PLEASE FIX

I'll probably just add support for the custom enemies in SE.

I don't think I could editor work on the android port because there's too many things that can only be done on an actual computer, like typing, right clicking, adding files to the mappack folder, and it wouldn't be user-friendly without redesigning it entirely.
And I'm not sure what you mean by the controls being in the wrong place? It's supposed to be a NES controller.
Also here's some progress on online multiplayer, still WIP and wont come out for a while.
That's awesome. This mod is pretty much in its prime, the only additions I could think of are half-blocks and maybe mario's new/3 powerup system as an option (get hit as fire mario, go back to super mario instead of small mario)
RealGabdhhf wrote:About online multiplayer, will you able to chat in game? it might be hard for people to understand each other instead of chatting in lobby
I'll consider adding this.

Change your windows scale to 1 in the options
Thanks for the advice. I am probably going to delete the game, though. My favorite part of it is the level editor. I am going to wait until I get a computer to get this game. I am still going to be active on the forum, though.

I normally wouldn't do this because of laziness, but since you actually need the android version I fixed the editor for you. You can drag stuff, use the dropdowns, and even type into text boxes.

Thank you for updating! :-) I am going to download the new version of the android part of Mari0!
Edit: X-( Serious Bug: Touch Screen controls do not respond
I got a little carried away and I worked on other things other than online multiplayer.
SE custom enemies have now been implemented, along with some other things.

I see that you finally put the Goomba shoe. Wiggler, (Idk the third sprite), a missile bill(?) and the SMM Boo.
I hope that you can add a option that can able Mario to grab things like in SMB3 or SMW, I already know that the mod is based most of all on SMB but that option can be actually a good thing for Mappacks.
