I give the update and your mod a 1999999999999999999999999999999999 out of 10.
Thanks.
But... don't get too excited about slopes because they're buggy.
MissingWorld wrote:I actually thought of another entity suggestion, and I'm not certain on how plausible it is.
A music entity that, when spawned, changes the music to the music it has set from the rightclick menu (like changing from the castle track to a custom boss theme). Maybe could be linked to an enemy/boss to change the track back when that enemy/boss is killed?
I'll probably make this when I get multiple custom music working.

Using your logic:
You're demanding something that Turret doesn't want to, so you are being rude, that makes you looks ridiculous.

I don't see anything wrong in what bubba said, he just want to play it, if alesan say no and he insists, then that would be rude. I didn't saw him insisting at any moment.
You missed the entire point of my post.

EDIT: I feel like I should point it out.
Turret was saying it's okay to tell someone not to do something they may or may not want to do.
Also how's describing my logic using my logic? (did you even read Turrets post btw?)
Actually he's telling him not to do something ("DON'T make any more entities, Alesan!") so it's not rude.
Do you see what I mean yet?

I'm done arguing, I feel I've derailed this thread to much already. And I'm sorry Alesan.

PROGRESS UPDATE
Deciding what custom music to use is annoying since you can only have one.
Maybe you want to have a custom overworld music, but you also want lava level music.
Well that ends now.
That's right, I added the ability to put multiple custom music!
Image
When you pick "custom" as a music, a little box will appear on the right where you can type a number.
To add music you do the same thing as you did before, except you put a number after the name.
EX: "music2.ogg"
note: you can use .ogg and .mp3
Currently you can have up to 9 (Not sure why you'd want more)
But remember, keep the filesize of the musics low or your mappack will take a REALLY LONG time to load. Try to pick short music or trim it with a audio editor like Audacity

It did? Huh.

I think there should be some Fire Cubes from Blue Portals. Just the "This can't fall here, but you can" thing was pretty neat.

I don't think this deserves a progress update...
um
I added that thing from better editor where you can see more tiles when you scroll.
I can't explain it but you'll know what I mean once the update comes out.
Also, I did not use any code from better editor, I coded it by myself (just for practice).

Why don't you implement Better Editor in your mod? It is REALLY, really useful and helps us a lot while map making.
It's just a suggestion, of course. People use a lot your mod for map making, and Better Editor is a really good tool that helps :)

I already changed editor.lua a lot. I can't just replace the editor.lua.
I'll try to add a feature every once and a while.

Could you at least add a copy/paste feature or something of the sort? It'd really be appreciated.
Also, are you able to use the portal gun while riding yoshi, and is he (or planned to be) able to use his tongue to pick up things?
I've concieved a few thoughts of puzzles using his tongue and the portal gun..

Editor.lua doesn't actually effect much, back when I had the better level editor forced into the game everything worked fine I just didn't get the extra stuff.
So really you just have to re-add a way to turn all the new features on.

I added brush resizing.
There's a problem though, the keys.
You have to hold shift to resize it and use the arrow keys.
This causes many problems though.
You might be holding shift while you're scrolling with the arrow keys.
OR someone might have set then moving controls to the arrow keys (the next post will be "Why not add toggleable editor controls")

So this is my current solution: You have to press "=" to turn on the feature.
Horrible, you don't have to tell, me.

Powerups don't power you up in Intermission levels. Also, can you make a bouncy tile property? (For mushrooms, or pinball blocks)

1. I never messed around with mushrooms in intermissions, so it must happen in normal mari0 too.
2. Use tiletools to put gel on all sides of a foreground tile, since foreground tiles make gel non-visible.

This mod is just AWESOME.. great work.. I have a suggestion. make the Emancipation Grill return mario to the small size when he goes through it. That would be very cool.

I'll make level screens customizable in the update after the next update. I've been planning this since turret suggested it.
I'm doing it in the update after the next update because I plan on releasing the update TODAY. If not then maybe tomorrow.
I might live stream as well.

TILETOOLS GUIDE
To use tiletools you must put it on the tile you want it to use
Right click it to type in a function.

There are many functions for tiletools.
Here is the full list
  • remove
    break
    change to [tile id]
    hit
    bump
    hit sides
    hit left
    explode
    hit range [range]
    set gel [side(s)][id]
    collect sides
    block debris
    remove gel
mod [x] [y] to [tile id]

You know the buttons that toggle blocks and come in 4 colors?
Well if you place a block outline and play the level, it's solid.

How do blocks detect when they're hit (i.e. for wide ? blocks)?
Also, the square wave entity is using the turret sprite.

Noticed a bug with the original multi-coin block entity; if placed on a breakable block, you only get one coin and the block breaks. On a coin block it works as intended.
