WOW this is an amazing mod we have here! Indeed one of the best ones here, I might even consider it the greatest entity mod.
Also I agree with FP, we realy don't need another Venus firetrap-like enemy. I mean you could always just re-skin it.

I only make Mario entities, and portal. I can always make a seperate mod but I really don't want to make another entity mod (I do really want to work on another mod. This is Nessy, a monster that appears in J.J. & Jeff on the Turbografx16. It extends it's head from inside a pit using it's impossibly-huge neck, and spits out large fireballs at the player.
It is cancelled. But I have no doubt that you could actually make a quality version of your own.

Alesan, If you could teach me how to code, maybe I could work with you to make even MORE entities! So maybe you could work on entities on your own time and I do the same! Do you want to?
Also, Make the HEP lauchers and catchers take up a 1 block high and 2 block width area so the HEP goes through the middle of the portal and looks better.

The mod is called "Alesan99's Entities" because they're entities by me (except turrets) so I'd rather you start your own mod. It's not that I don't like to work with other people but because I'd like to keep this mod to my self.

I would not advise using the lua handbook to learn how to code. That is a terrible way to learn lua. Also don't learn coding from Mari0. That's a bad way to learn. Trust me on that.
I've been thinking of creating my own Love2d video. It would be rather fast paced, I'd probably give some examples and some suggested things that you do to make sure you know the material. I don't want you guys to hear my voice, so it will be Youtube Video Notepad Style! (Just kidding, that would be awful)
But yeah. I wouldn't recommend learning Lua from modifying Mari0.
If you wanna learn know, I would suggest looking up Sockmunkee Dev on youtube. They're pretty good. Kind of slow at times, but I guess I'm not new to the language.

It's a good idea. I'll make it optional so I don't have to transfer all of my mappacks just so I can play them with my mod. It'll be on by default.

The goal of this mod is to make enemies that generally have been in a Mario or Portal game already, not to make new ones. Alesan's already stated this many times.

Im not sure about this cuz i can't find precise info about it, but...shouldn't all the power ups act as simple mushroom if collected when small mario? like, If small mario collects a fire flower, he'll become big mario, not fire mario. And while that's how it works for the fire flower in Mari0 too, the other power ups in this mod make small mario go straight to the power up: if smal lamrio collects a frog/hammer suit, he'll become from/hammer mario.
Also, hammer mario doesnt become invunerable to fire when crouched, as it was in SMB3.

Not that the mod needs this, but what if you added the "reserve item" function into it? If you don't like my idea, it's ok.
I don't want to change the original Mari0 gameplay. Not really. My mod will also use a special GLaDOS instead of the "default" one, but I think I'll use the one I posted on Tileset Respositorium...
