Would it work if I make it toggle-able with f10? I'm not sure if you can have keyboard inputs on a fire tv, I just don't want an option that can be accessed on other devices so I don't inevitably get someone complaining about not having a ui.TurretBot wrote:First, there's no way to hide the touch screen button display which sucks.
Unless I'm reading this wrong, I don't see the advantage of the crosshair resetting position. It could get annoying having to re-aim if you want to fire portals in the same direction. I can see why you would want automatic portals though. However, I don't think this would work either because the portal toggling just adds a layer of confusion. Instead of AIM->SHOOT1->AIM->SHOOT2 its TOGGLE1->AIM->RELEASE->TOGGLE2-AIM-RELEASE. You would need to decide what portal you're gonna shoot before hand. You could toggle the portal while aiming but that would defeat the purpose since you're making a button input anyway.

Maybe you could have it as a play setting in the options?
I'd think it's very useful for other modes where you might not want to toggle automatically!

1. Keyboard inputs are fine (you need to use one to map the controls anyway)
2. Maybe it's just me but the crosshair is really distracting (when not aiming), plus automatic firing.

Well I was speaking on the fact that I am on mobile. It'd be convenient for that.
Yes I see your point there, but if you misfire it would have to shoot off the second portal when you don't need it. In how you described it, a process of AIM>SHOOT1>AIM>MIS-SHOOT2>AIM>RE-SHOOT1. We're not talking about the same thing. Turret was referring to joystick controls. The star music isn't working when I change it.
It's already been fixed in the next update
I know I'm really hard on this mod a lot, but that's actually a really good feature, and if my game still had tiles, I would want to recreate it there.

I added collectables!
They work pretty much like coins, except they can't be re-collected even if you enter a sub-level.
There's also an automatic ui counter that appears when you collect one.
I made sure to make them customizable. You can have up to 10 different types of collectables.
This means you can use them as star coins, power moons, purple coins, or whatever you can think of.
Of course, I also made them serve a purpose. I added a 'collectable lock' as seen in the gif. You can link it to an object and it will send a signal when a certain amount of collectables have been collected.
So far I've shown most of the cool stuff coming in the update. This'll be the last entity I'm adding this update probably.

Maybe have it so it reappears, but as a ghost collectible, with a different sprite and only giving a sum of coins.

With the purple coins, it seems like an interesting way to allow secret exits. Does A99e have a scorekeeping system? Viewable on the main menu so I can see a personal best record of coins, collectables, and points?
Also did some improvements to slopes. I still hate them but they're way less buggy
