EDIT2(did this so I wouldn't double post and my country's time has a 10 hour difference from America so I couldn't wait): I have a bug and a question. Bug: I know cheats aren't high priority, but please fix this. When you die while you are capturing an enemy (in multiplayer) you don't respawn! instead you can just hear the dying sound over and over and over. (Note: this only happens when the enemy you are capturing falls off the world when they die). Question: How do I send you a download link to my mappack? and should I send it in a zip file?

PROGRESS UPDATE

I've been porting over stuff from SE and fixing some old issues.
You can't tell from the screen shot but there's also more music options
It looks like this
  • mappack/music/
    • musicname.ogg
      musicname-intro.ogg
      musicname-fast.ogg
This is mostly going to be a stability update, so don't expect any obscure mario-wiki enemies to be added. BUT, map-making will be a lot easier and flexible

How do you make it so that when you pass a certain point something changes and it stays in the changed state? Cause I wanna make checkpoints change colour when the player passes them.

EDIT : Also can you add bullet/banzai/king bills facing up?

Region trigger linked to tile tools.

For bullet bills use cannon balls w/ custom graphics or custom enemies

WOW... that was fast... I'm not complaining in fact i'm quite exited, but as you said its just tweaks and optimisations... so could you at least add the ability to add links to the faith plate. still broken...

Well i did but when the player goes out of range of the reigon trigger it goes back to normal

You're supposed to make the trigger bigger so the player can't go out of range.
You can also make a mechanism for it to only trigger once, but one-time triggers will be ported from SE in the next update.

The spanners have some issues with the main being i doesn't spawn every enemy. wish it did but... it doesn't.

Yes, custom enemies work the same as SE.

However, I wouldn't use it because I never finished it. Just make them normally.

he's gonna Ask Maurice for all the planned SE features and add them to this mod and make this mod an expanded version of the full version of SE, which will make this mod have more downloads than vanilla Mari0!

I'm guessing late February.
A lot of the big stuff is almost finished like Animations, same-block portals, and the background/music system.
However, I still have many right-click menus and entities that I have to port over from SE. I want have added every SE entity by release.

Mari0 CE (Community Edition) is taking over, sorry. 90% of Alesan's Entities wouldn't even be in there.

The camera is moved by moving mario and having the "follow mario" box checked (I know about the camera not working like expected, I'll try to fix it).
Entity properties are accessed with b+touch

It's just entities.png. I think it requires a reload to update the image. Otherwise I'll just add a seperate image in the next update.

could you possibly have mario odyssey stuff, for example the heart, regional coins, etc.
(the heart could restore your last-used power-up e.g. you get a fire-flower, get hit & go to normal mario, grabs a heart and goes from norm. mario -> fire mario)
and could there also be an option for s.m.o.-based levels? like you have to throw cappy -> those moe-eye things to get a fire-flower and defeat those broodals or something
and finally could there be an option for cappy and minecraft and dark-mode in levels? i know you can have no portals, gels, and default portals. the menu could look like [NORMAL, NONE, 1 ONLY, 2 ONLY, GEL, (why not) GEL1 ONLY, GEL2 ONLY, MINECRAFT, CAPPY) and possibly combinations? like you could have portal1, gel2, and minecraft or whatever

I wasn't moving because of the shyguy, I was pressing the left key.
But yeah, e works but it can also be picked up with the run button like smb2

I'm not sure about all that cheat stuff, and most mario odyssey stuff can be achieved with custom enemies.
I was planning on adding some sort of customizable collectable coin so starcoins and regional coins can be things

I wanted to play the Android version on a Fire TV (aka with a game controller) since the Fire TV supports APK files and all, Craftersshaft told on the Discord, but there's two things...

First, there's no way to hide the touch screen button display which sucks.
Second, and this isn't really about the Android version specifically or even this mod, but the mouseless controls are kind of unintuitive.

I wish there was a control method where Mario neutrally doesn't "aim" and just faces in the direction he moves, and there's no crosshair; until you push the aiming stick in a direction, in which point he looks in that direction and the crosshair shows. After letting go of the stick, it would just fire a portal in that direction and go back to not aiming. And then you would have a button to switch between firing the blue/orange portal.
