T0ad [NEW UPDATE!]

Toad from Super Mario bros. 2 comes back to shoot some portals! This mod replaces the the SMB style with a brand new SMB2 look!

Better than Mario!
Toad has the special ability to run fast! Don't worry about the timer anymore. The only drawback is that he can't jump as high.
Everything looks like SMB2
Tired of the SMB tiles and enemies? Well now everything looks (and sounds) like SMB2! That means you can avoid birdo's eggs and fight Wart!
You also have more background colors for a closer experience to SMB2. I encourage you to play some mappacks from the forum with no custom tiles so they won't seem so dull.
Before Downloading
Make sure to lower your volume before hand because the music is loud.
While using the t0ad mod, reset all setting so toad has normal colors(Only if you want him to).
I like the grass tiles so don't hate on them ):

Mario Mayhem for music (I trimed it)
Me of course, cause I made everything else (Even the toad sprites).

Neither me nor turtley did that. BobTheLawyer made the toad sprites, and I added it to my character loader mod

@WaryLouka It's still a mod. if it wasn't than all night stabyourself wouldn't be, nor would the luigi mod, nor would pretty much any mod ever (because mods almost all ways modify variables, and/or change systems that create/modify variables.

May look simple at first but try it your self. You see, I had to make big and small toad sprites ( YES MEEE!!!!!! COMPARE THEM CAREFULLY )holding a portal gun facing all directions, that there took me 3 hours (Not exaggerating, i also had to resize the smb toad sprites without making them look bad). I also had to change hat positions, the thing in the top right that says mario, castle text , and other minor stuff. Oh and the music... you can't just search "SMB2 Music" on google then put it on the game, I had to trim it so the mod doesn't take up 10 GB, and it was trial and error getting the music to loop JUST RIGHT. Then polish up some things like toad's colors and fire colors then done! Actually I'm still going to add to this mod, but i'll do that later.

Well I'm disappointing with most people in the thread here,
I thought the people here were better than this but to accuse someone of stealing without checking to see if they did steal, makes me immediately think of a certain youtubers fanboys.

To contribute to the mod however may I suggest changing the tiles to feel more like smb2 tiles?

That should be so easy, since super mario crossover 3 allready did that. Thanks for the suggestion.

not really the way smbc is designed is so that it can handle terrain changes while mari0 sticks to specific tiles placed. (I'd suggest using the dirt under the grass since it wraps.)

That looks really good. My only suggestion this far is to change the overworld ground to the same as the underground, just recolored

Well isn't that the most resonable thing to do? I already made the volume 0.1 on audiocity and I can't make it any lower.

Hey! What did the modder say? Don't hate on the grass.

I like the grass. It makes the levels look more green,lush and alive.

A lot of the threads you're making posts in have been dead for a long time.

You might want to try posting in more recent threads instead. A lot of the older stuff isn't maintained very much. More recent threads are much more likely to have working downloads for mods/maps/etc., so it might be easier to look in those.
