Sorry guys. This is going on hiatus.
I really want to make my own rpg, and that takes priority.

I got interested in it. So i made an unofficial v0.0.2

Changelog:
-Fireballs go straight
-Changed sprites to Megaman sprites (Might be a bit glitchy)

Nice! I'm having trouble loading a level so I can't see you sprites. As to fireballs, the mod has a weapon system to allow easy adding of weapons, I had a few made but I'm not sure if Bob put them in his version. If he did you would cycle weapons by pushing the tab key.

Will steal your sprites for the time being.

I know its in a beta mode now...but I still find it a bit drastic that mega man fell upwards when he died from damage...and the fireballs don't do damage to anything. Love the menu screen though!

Fireballs should be doing damage.
It isn't an insta kill, though.

Just my few things. I know this is because it's Megaman, but maybe it shouldn't be such a small jump? Also the straight fireballs can't shoot most entities, you actually have to go down AND press in the direction,or else it goes into the ground or over their heads.

Threw up a concept of what Megaman would look like with a portal gun.

If you like it, i can work on the full sheet. Angled direction may take awhile, Megaman only knows how to shoot left or right.
EDIT: Ignore the obvious flaws, i threw this together in like ten minutes in Flash.
DOUBLE EDIT: Sorry, haven't been here in awhile, didn't know this topic got a major bump.

Cycle 2; Gets in his shell, and then acts like a stomped(moving) koopa shell...
Weapon: Shell shooter; Shoots out a koopa shell that doesn't hurt you
Boss idea 2: Hammer bro
Attack patterns:
(does whatever a hammer bro does)
Weapon: Spinning hammer; Acts like a hammer of hammerbro. When charged, acts like hammers of bowser.(uses more ammo)

As idiot says, I don't think I'll ever get back to this. I've got enough on my plate. The koopa idea is ok, but the mario themed boss will be bowser. Hammerbro will be common enemies of that level.

I was going to do the villians (Dr. EggMan)
