This requires the modloader. Just extract the file and copy loadmod.lua and unloadmod.lua to your mappacks folder. If you don't think the height and stuff are quite right just open loadmod.lua and change them.

EDIT: guys we need ideas for things that we could add to the game.
EDIT: mariomaker i love it can you possibly make him slide longer and jump higher as well as give him a hat.

Well, if you still need the mod loader, it's here: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3186
Added luigi to the character loader that is compiled with the modloader, and modified the hat offsets so that luigi can wear a hat that's on top of his head (vs. say inside of it) It messes up the level loading screen, but in the end it's worth it.

edit: just copy the resulting files into your mappack.
Edit: Edit: Updated: now the changes only affect you if your luigi, if your someone else (ie. mario) they won't effect you.

If someone could give me the lines of code for jumping and sliding, I'd be glad to help with that. But, I looked through the code and couldn't find either.
And, someone may have to do the hat. From this, I can't tell where I'm even supposed to add it. XD

I'll try to add it though. I know I can add a layer in the background, and make the main image transparent.

There also may be a way where you can position the hat more upward (the normal hat ingame).
Changing the color for the hat is easy too.

I'll probably do it that way. :)

Well I don't use the modloader, so I was getting confused. :P

Anyways, I finished/fixed Luigi's hat.

If there is enough demand for it, I can port mine to vanila mari0 (although I'll probably use the character loader as a base since it's easier.) It already has a fixed hat and the game text and stuff, the only thing it lacks is proper menu and level load screen hat stuff.

edit: in that casw my service is rendered useless. Unless you're using the character loader then I can make the jump and friction changes only effect luigi and not mario/other custom characters.

Well, I added the mappack, which can be found in DLC, and decided to make a download.
The mappack is just the same as the original SMB, but a little different, and has the tiles that Hans1998 provided.

The "up2" in the name just means it is my second upload. Otherwise, I'd be the same name as the first.

Eh, I don't mind. The main purpose is so that people only have to odwnload one love. Then if say you guys make a luigi mappack someone else makes a mappack with custom graphics (A0zora/stabyourself mappck) or custom entities. people don't have continuesly downloading loves they can just download the mappack.

Well, I looked at the code, found it, but it was too confusing for me. I don't know all about code, sadly. :P

I'm also working on custom music/sound.
So far, the overworld theme is Koopa Beach from Super Mario Kart, and it even loops. :)

Underwater music is Super Mario Sunshine's Delfino Plaze theme, and castle theme is MKDD: Bowser's Castle, which are both in 8-Bit! :D
Does anyone have any ideas for the underground theme?

i was thinking we could change all the castles to mansions with enemies looking ghostly. with bowser being king boo. also i like the super luigi o title and maybe the theme for underground could be pahrana plant pipeway from mk7 made 8bit

Added King Boo, green fireballs, and underground music. Couldn't find Piranha Plant Pipeway in 8-Bit, So I chose the Ghost Valley theme from SMK. The starman theme is also now changed, and it is the starman theme from Mario Super Strikers Charged.
I also changed Toad to be green instead of red. And, I'll take Turrets adive and make the Cheep Cheeps be Boo.
And as for the tileset you've made, we don't need it, as Hans1998 has provided one already, and is being used in the mappack.

A few notes for stuff I didn't say I added, but anyways, the intro screen that shows "Stabyourself.net" has been changed, as well as some text, and a few other things.
Next update should include changed sound effects.
The last thing I will do is finish the mappack.

yea, just need you to code it into the current version of the .love i say bout 2.5 blocks higher would be good, and slip's well you experiment with that
Also think you could code things in i came up with some ideas.
also waluigi pinball sounds good in 8bit maybe we should make that the theme for underground

Depends on what. My coding abilities aren't very good.
I kinda feel like we should use the modloader for this though... When you make your mappack there's bound to be someone who's going to not want to download a mod just to play your mappack.
