Since Mari0Maker asked if I was going to release this, I thought I might as well so then I can delete it off my computer. The mod is sort of messed up since I accidentally put lua files I meant to put into my Super Mario Bros. mod in here, but it works. There's no longer any portals but he still follows the mouse, and his small sprites are just the big ones shoved down 16px because I was experimenting with some stuff. The sprites in the video below are bigger, I ended up finding some that fit better

If I were to start working on this again, I would probably give it some music and Sonic tiles, but I don't really feel like it's worth the time right now

I think this mods really nice to have.
I modified it with the music from the Game Gear version of Sonic. I do think this should be a more full mod. hatninja work your stuff.

On the Stabyourself.net logo, you need to add the Sega logo.
I think you'll have to change the background color though. Then again, I may be wrong.

Anyways, it looks really nice so far! :D

Hey, I was watching that video, and I heard the Sonic Jump Sound.
and I have that sound in my mod called, SuperDylan in Mari0

That's nice. You don't need to advertise your mod here because it uses the generic Sonic jumping sound

I got bored, so I added the ability to kill enemies when jumping or ducking while moving

EDIT: Today I completely restarted the mod from vanilla Mari0 (minus the sprites, just pasted those back in). The shield looks better when it's not set to 11 frames per second

For whatever reason, I though I hadn't posted anything about the (not so) recent changes I made to the mod, and made a video to post here. I guess I already said it all, but I might as well post it not to waste the hour I waited for the upload to take

Are you going to change collisions for when you are in a ball?
It would look nice, but it is pretty hard, so I don't expect you to do it (It really caused problems with my K00pa mod)
Also, Sonic is a bit slow, don't you think?

My computer can't handle recording that well, so the recording slows down. The best comparison is the first GIF in the previous post, but even that has lag. I'd like to try to change the collision, I'm guessing it won't be that hard actually since I could just change the jumping to ducking. I've had issues with collision's too, so I'm worried about attempting it. The Game Grumps mod still has some issues with going through floors when you duck getting a powerup

I guess you're probably right. I did a whole lot more to the quads than just that, so that must have been my problem (also that was my first mod)
