I just want to see if it's possible, and practical to use.

It was already requested, and already modded. But I don't really know where it is now. Use the search button.

You can get other sizes, but there's gonna be black bars on the sides

Sure you can get full screen.
The game only looks absolutely terrible.

Wait till we get y-axis scrolling.
Then we'll talk.

Would 1024 x 600 fit even semi-well?

^what?

Since the screen of Mari0 is 400x224(at scale=1) and he wants to know if it would fix in a 1024x600 screen, to verify it we have to do this:
1024/400=2.56(this is the scale factor we should scale the screen width to make it fit in 1024px)
then we have to do original height for 2.56 to see if the height fits in 600px with the same scale factor: 224*2.56=573.44
So we have a resolution of 1024x573: it should, theorically, fit well enough in a 1024x600 screen, but the problem is: can we scale the game screen to 2.56?

just tried it and it works, but the pixels are a bit messed up...
another way to get something similar to a fullscreen without modding it would be to go into your ...\LOVE\mari0 folder and edit the option.txt file so that "scale=2.5".
it will be windowed, but it will take almost the whole screen, and the pixels will be less messed up.

P.S.: mind that if you use the option.txt method, to turn back to the normal situation you'll have to edit the file again, cuz the ingame scale option only works by +1/-1 units, so you'll have 0.5, 1.5, 2.5 and so on.

I tried it also, and I don't mind the messed up pixels. Thanks so much for your help.

Just set the scale to 4.

Wtf.
You know fullscreen mean that there is no window border, and that there is no taskbar either. It's don't just mean "big window"
Also, are you aware that computer screens can have different sizes. Some are bigger than Mari0's window size in scale 4
