If that didn't help you, post the custom tile set you made and me (or anyone else) can take a look at it

I have had this problem before.
Your computer can't handle how big of an image you put in.
Make tileset smaller, or make more tiles width wise. (It'll ultimately be the same thing as you want, but will work on your computer)

That happened when I didn't have drivers. Do you have video drivers?

type your GPU's name in google andu'l find the driver , download and install , and it might fix the problem
