Man, this stuff looks great!
Now find a way to give the jetpack to Mario within the level, since it seems that it would be more useful for level design rather than a cheat, and also to find a way to limit the jetpack uses possibly.
(I would look at the Portal Gun Pedestal mod to do that) :P

I'll post an updated version with the jet pack because it's so freakin cool. Other things aren't finished yet.

This should definitely go into SE in some form.

Also, renhoek or anyone can you make better sprites? Animated fire coming out from the bottom would be cool. I think there needs to be 1 sprite for jet pack off, a few sprites for "growing" fire coming from the bottom, and a few others when the fire is at its max size.

I won't make it that way because I want full compatibility with the unmodded version. I want to be able to use my mod with all the mappacks, and I don't want mappacks that can only be played with my mod.

New feature is the jetpack, and the ability to change gun with 1-2-3 keys. Unfinished stuff is stripped.

With the jetpack you can slightly go off-screen at the bottom too.
which seems to be a stupid feature and will be removed (edit)

There are some bugs that come to joysticks.

1) You can set bullettime to joysticks in the options, but it wont work ingame (even for player 1's joystick)

2) When using the jetpack with a joystick (even player 1), the sound keeps looping when you stop using it and wont stop.

But besides that, it's one of the best mods i've ever seen.

Thanks Lone Wolf. I didn't even try it with a joypad cause I don't have one.. but I think I know the cause of the second bug you mentioned. For the first one, I don't know, but I'll look into it.

When the jetpack is off, running and jumping makes Mario look like he's swimming. I know this is a result of changing things for the jetpack, but could you remove the extra animations when the jetpack is off? This would make my meteor shower more entertaining again.

i was playing portal 2 and i noticed some thing : see that gel canon ? could you make it so that gels does not " fall " ? how can i say it ,,, make it go straight ! ( lol wut )

I can't reproduce it. For me, it shows the swimming sprite when jumping only with the jetpack on.

Oh and there's some unfinished, commented out stuff in the mod, like the "drugged mode" and a "builder gun" which shoots tiles. They're not included in the latest release for a reason, but you can play around with the mod to activate and try them.

I just found a glitch. When you use the jetpack when the 'time running out' sound comes, when it ends, you can't hear the jetpack until you start it up again.

if you want to make it work make the following :

2) installl love
3) now you can play any mod tht's is .love

Download Mari0 source from StabYourSelf.net.
Rename it to a .zip
Extract
Edit one of the .lua's with some text editor (notepad ++)
I would recommend starting with variables.lua

Save it, drag folder onto the love icon.
And it should work!

how about if your in splitscreen if both of you ground pound it dose a massive rain boom sort of like in NSMBW that would be cool, also the opption of a pedestool to pick up jet packs and a the opptions for infinte fuel or you have to use coins

Sorry, but he is not working on it anymore. Marurice allowed him to work for the next Mari0 version.

Wait what? Maze plus fire and bullet bills seems pretty simple to me. I'm not seeing why you'd need either though. Am I missing a reference? However endless levels are practically what mazes were made for.

I think this is the best way to use this mod in a mappack, Jetpack Joyride would be easy to make, place some fire ring things here, some bullet bills there, bingo!!!

I may forego levels and/or randomisation thereof , and simply release tileset/mod.
Speaking of which, zappers require more work than expected, i.e. reskinning won't work. I may or may not be requesting help.
