You know that part on maurice1000's portal test 5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-1yVrfYDJU&feature=plcp


Well at the last seconds he uses the portal gun to fire over the pipe and onto another pipe, but in the normal game there's a restriction in which if you want to fire a portal, the portal shot has to land on the screen. Does anyone know how to remove that restriction?

Nevermind its not coming in SE, I thought portal test 5 was multiplayer

It's a design thing.
You can remove this in the "traceline" function in game.lua.

I'd bet it screws EVERYTHING up. But how would you know what portal it is you want to go to? Because more than 2 you might forget which portal leads where. Unless you had arrow pointers or something. I'd not bother though.

Well, actually, what I mean't for this thread to be about is that portals don't have to be shot onscreen. Even without the traceline, you still have to shoot the portal onscreen.
