Here's UNofficial moding rules, but would be nice to do for modders.

DO :

- add pictures of your map : most pepole won't download if they don't have a sneak peak with some pictures
- specify the Mari0 version
- add the type of your map in the topic title; if is it for fun, add [FUN] in your topic name..
Here's a list of principal types to not get confused :

[Fun] A map just for fun !
[Creation] A map that creates brand new landscapes, etc..
[Puzzle] A puzzling map
[RPGthemed] A RPG-themed map
[Adv] A map about ADVENTUUURE !
[Addons] A mod that adds something to original mappacks without really chancing them
[Portal] Portal-themed map

DON'T :

- copy or steal other maps -exepted with permission- of other pepole

It's a small list; suggest more ! ( Sticky so everyone can see this )

Ok, I shall change my mappack's thread to suit these rules now.

EDIT: Though I am unsure what category my mappack falls under though, I'd guess either Portal or Adventure, maybe both.

You can put multiple tags.

You realize these aren't official so we don't have to follow these at all. Which honestly I won't since it's useless to have mapping rules.

You mean besides easy organization, having an easier time skimming the forum looking for something specific, and stopping uninformative topic titles?

I try everything, so doesn't matter to me. And it's not easy organization, you can get the same effect by looking in the god damn thread. I'd prefer these be official before using, cause honestly this is a stupid idea. And since Mari0 is still pretty new, there's not much people making maps so. Again it's useless, because there's not much people making maps.

I agree there should be proper organization rules. the bracket tags really help with finding things. but you aren't a mod, and it isn't the best set of rules.

oh god I just noticed you spelled people 'pepole'

One thing that should be super banned is adfly (and similar) links. haven't seen any here, but it's only a matter of time.

For a start, modding. Second, this is mapping, not modding.

You really need to clean this post up from its obvious copy paste attack.

There are maps that aren't designed to be fun?

What, like new levels? That's be pretty cool! We should call these map packs!

Also, your categories are sorta weird. This post needs some rethinking.

As in you are in a level, but you're role playing as a goomba and you need to fit in with the other goombas to reach the flag.
