We already have a repository for:
*Tiles
*Animated Tiles
*Backgrounds
*Enemies

Which can already do what this topic tries to do but better. Heck the SMB tiles shown in the OP weren't even edited, as far as I know.

i know, but they are mostly oriented towards strictly graphics, the other ones are strictly for their own specific category, the only category that didn't get a thread was graphics, i figured why not just make a graphics thread




btw, the smb tiles themselves wherent edited, just the tile properties, so that way water is actually water, bridges act as bridges, and things like that

Only the ones that have multiple frames.

It's supposed to mean basically the graphics repositorum, character repositorum, enemy repositorum, background repositorum, animated tiles repositorum and tileset repositorum could all be the same thread.
I'm not really a fan of the idea because having separate threads means you can search through all the assets you need at the time you need them rather than look through a huge megathread with everything in several times in the process of making a map as you reach the different stages of the thought process.

It's not even HD. They're just rips of Bowser from the 'Mario & Luigi' series laid out for use in Mari0.

Also why does this thread exist. We've plenty of repositoriums already, everything here could easily fit into at least one of them.

Not really. The graphics are replacements for current things in the game. Most of them wouldn't fit in any other existing repositorum. And, while I agree that some things, such as the smbtiles or the coinblock/coin animations belong in the tileset repositorum, there are many things (such as buttons or excursion funnels) that aren't tiles, enemies, or anything else that already has a repositorum.

I don't see why buttons and excursion funnels couldn't be put into the tile repositorium.
or heck it could even go into the enemy repository since they're entities.

It isn't about "if you don't like it "or "then don't post in it" ... it's about the fact that these "repositoriums" are made so that you can find massive groups of a specific thing (example being "tiles") all in one place.

If there is a repositorium that could fit into another one it's an argument over how helpful it would be to merge them. "Graphics" isn't specific and I have yet to see any explanation of how something posted here could not go into another repo instead for the sake of usefulness.

Also arguing about a thread is most relevant in said thread, and could barely be any more on topic considering that in some people's opinions this thread is really unnecessary. There's nothing wrong with pointing that out.

As for my own opinion I've made it clear I don't see the point in this thread but I'm more concerned with being told not to post in it, I mean for the sake of discussion.

Danny called it "Graphics" Repositorium because the mappack subfolder name for this kind of stuff in Mari0 SE is "graphics".

Many of Danny's graphics are only one frame eg. excursionfunnel2, excursionfunnelend, excursionfunnelend2, gelground, peach, pedestalbase, toad.
