No, not background.
Background tiles.
Like, you have signs and stuff.
Make sure you decorate and use a good variety of minecraft tiles that are insignificant, like flowers and grass and such.

Glad you asked!
There's been several in the Tileset Repositorium.
Here is one I've found. Best I saw (though it doesn't contain tiles from the newest update):

I would recommend adding tile properties, like chest be brick blocks, or something of that nature.

I'm going to have to pass on that idea.
I'm not that great on mappack creating.
I'm working on one, and that's enough to run my mind dry.
I can test and let you know what needs improvement, as I've seen criticism on my own mappack, what people like, what I like, great mappacks, and bad mappacks.
Also, please don't quote all of huge post like mine.
It waste a ton of room.

Pretty good.
The overworld is better than the under.
Comments
Overworld:
Only the left sublevel entity is needed.
Some grass blocks where it should be plain dirt
The torches don't match the house blocks
Underworld:
Ores needed.
The brick boxes look out of place
I would make a custom background for the stone tiles, since you are making it a background. Isn't essential though.
Besides for that, everything looks good!

There is a left entity, but ill change it so it wont jump out of the worldBobTheLawyer wrote:Pretty good.

Il fix the grass block
I can't fix the torches, the back wall texture is just like that
Ill add ores
The bricks are like that cause its Mari0 That Ventures To Minecraftia but i guess il eventually change it.
Finally, making a background would take way too long. It would also cause some background stuff to no longer match properly.
Thank you for you're oppinion, it very helpful!

Do you know how to make custom tiles and backgrounds and edit tilesets?jecoconono wrote:I can't fix the torches, the back wall texture is just like that

It wouldn't be that hard to fix the torches, change brick blocks out with chest (which imo, looks pretty nice), and make a simple background of one tile.

I know how to do it, but its simply cause in example : I dont know the resolution of the background! and it would also un-match the pattern!BobTheLawyer wrote:Do you know how to make custom tiles and backgrounds and edit tilesets?jecoconono wrote:I can't fix the torches, the back wall texture is just like that

Can't tell whether the ? block comment is sarcastic. Also, you can't texture ? blocks, so you need to make it a brick block.jecoconono wrote:I know how to do it, but its simply cause in example : I dont know the resolution of the background! and it would also un-match the pattern!

Use this for tileset properties (the tileset properties must be semi-transparent:
The only thing necessary for backgrounds is the height should be 224 pixels.
Here is a background. Name it 1-1_1background1.png (or 1-1background1.png if it's the only background in the level, or background1.png if it's the only background)

You can't, though I don't see why you would.
You can put entities into brick blocks.
