Hello chamber builders! Some of you may be running out of chamber ideas for portal mappacks.

This page will give you many tips and tricks on how to build both basic and advanced chambers in a snap! I did not make this, I give credit to the amazing people who made these in the first place.

Objects

1.Glass.

To make glass you will need: 2 Hard-Light Bridges 1 Emancipation Grill

Put the items in this pattern.

D-Down Lightbridge

E-Em.Grill

U-Up Lightbridge

B-Any Block

You cannot shoot portals through it or walk through it but lasers and lightbridges can.

2.Link Gel Pipe.

To make a Link Gel Pipe you will need:

1 Gel Dispenser 1 Door and 1 Activator

Place them in this pattern.

Link the door to the activator and test the level.

The door stops the gel from coming out of the dispenser.

Press the button and the door opens and then the gel comes out!

You can put the activator anywhere you like.

3.Death Wall.

To make a death wall all you need to do is make 2 lasers face eachother.

You can add an emancipation grill in the middle to make no portals go through it.

4.Turrets.

To make a turret you will need a custom tileset that includes turrets.

Place the turret tile on the ground and then put a bullet bill entity on it. Now it will shoot bullet bills like a turret shoots regular bullets.

5.Death Glass(New by SJB!)

Combine glass and death walls to make Death glass.

Circuits

1. Circuit Inverter

Place an activator and and an inverter.

Link your activator to the inverter and link your inverter to a reciever.

Does what you expect-No current=Door Open Current=Door Close

I hate to have to mention this out in the blue, but most of us on the forums already know of and/or have used these.
There's also the pesudo-grates that are made when you use a light bridge but where the bridge ends is not a portable tile.

I also must bring this up: To prevent specific unintended level-breaking tricks with Glass (sticking a Grill on a tile won't stop a player from placing a portal to wherever the grill's connected on the floor, last time I checked) or Death Walls to occur, make both tiles the glass/death wall is connected to non-portable. One could also combine a Death Wall with Glass to make "Death Glass", not sure if I've seen it in action anywhere.
