I love playing other's mappacks, but sometimes it's hard to find older topics and, when we find some, we don't always have a solid reference of the mappack's quality. So, my idea is: I'll post a list of mappacks and a rating for it. The rating will be decided by the own forum users, not only me, and anyone would be able to suggest mappacks and would be able to give a rating. I'd calculate the arithmetic average of the votes and post here. So, here we go!
Name: ZX Mario Author: Superjustinbros
Version: Mari0 1.6

Progress: Fully finished
To suggest/rate a mappack:
Only rule (so far): you can't rate your own mappack, and the mappack you're posting HAS to be released...
To suggest a mappack, post a comment like this:
BobTheLawyer wrote:I like the idea.
No dropbox pictures are working.
Thanks! I'll fix the images, just a minute...
EDIT: Done! Now I'm using Blogger's images (Dropbox never worked well for me :S)
EDIT 2: I don't understand. Why they appeared to me but not to you? Even if I'm logged in, this should be equal to everyone. Strange...

I was going to include it, but I just forgot. Great suggestion. Added. I'd give it a 9, but for now I'll let it 8 :)
EDIT: Not that you can't, but you just don't need to add the image itself for rating, because, for now, there's no link for 7 or lower...

I'd suggest setting up images for people to use for 6, 5, 4, etc so this thread can look consistent.

I think including a short description would be useful.
For example, Outside the box is kinda different from others mappacks, and you can't realise that unless you have the description

But my idea was to them to post only the number, not the image. So they don't need to add things like bold, size or anything. But, just for users who need (and for self future uses), I've added them under the "How to" spoiler.

Sorry for the double post, but a public question: should I make the same thing I made in this thread, but in "Modding"? What you guys think. Oh, and have you liked the idea of the thread or I should discontinue it?

I always thought that the mappacks needed some kind of hub where people could go to to find a map they like without having to click through hundreds of threads. I'll keep an eye on this and if things keep going well I will sticky this, definitely. Just make sure to keep it as up-to-date as possible.
As for the modding version of this; Why not? It'd just need more info of things like which version it is for and if it's still active (being kept up to date and what not).
I have a question though. How are you rating the mappacks? Are they going to be the average grade of everyone's opinion or will they be graded by you or the person submitting it? Just curious.

If more than one person rates a mappack/mod, you should also add it on the main post.
Anyways, I'll add another mappack.
Name: Super Luigi USA Author: MegaHeash Mod required: No
Genre: Platform
EDIT: Ninja'd
I also suggest you put a download link by the mappack if people are to lazy to go to the thread.

Surely I will. I visit the Stabyourself's forums at least 3 times every day (emphasizing: at least).

No problem. I'll add this information to mod's descriptions too.

At first they're my own ratings, because I was the first one to vote, but I'm doing the average of everyone's votes (for example, I voted 10 to "Go Stabyourself Group Mappack", but Automatik voted 8, so it is 9 now). But thanks, anyway :)

Actually, "Curved Science" is being worked, since this is a "Showcase Mappack" for my mod (and that custom tileset I made) and I'm still working on my mod (and, also, planning on update Curved Science, but I'm not sure yet).

Oh, please. It's an 8 at best. -'_'-
But, thanks for the 10, it actually makes me want to start it up again, but with school coming soon, work is pretty much done for me until Christmas or a break or something.
Also, could somebody rate this? I think it would be unfair for me to rate it as I made it.

Just for what I've seen via screenshots, I'd give it AT LEAST 9. For me, I'd be a 10. The mappack was very well made, so I'm gonna post it as a 10 :)
Check it at "Platform" section...

Can someone review my mappacks? (Like Firaga, I see it unfair to rate my own mappacks.)
I don't wanna be an attention whore but I want to know if people like/dislike my stuff.

Also I think the polls are broken, so here would be a better place to host ratings (but it'd still be nice to see my wiki get more activity...)

The rating system here is meaningless as it appears to work as whoever posts the mappack gets to rate it. It's led to silly things, like Outside the Box having the same rating as 0'brothers.

If you think 0'brothers is better than Outside the Box, vote is as 10. I made the "Rating" thing to be used more, but users are focused only on "Suggesting" lately... I mean, really, if you have some ratings, please post. I'd be really glad to see "Rating" being used more often...

Outside The Box is better than 0'Brothers anyway, if you know what I mean.
