What would you even do if someone posted multiple ratings?

Average them all out to get a score.

Not a big fan of the drug theme, but the art and level design is amazing!

OrbitalBlueprint changed the mappack's name, it's now called Subject 128. Plus, the screenshots no longer match the actual design (Just saiyin', I assume you have already known that)

Even though I've enjoyed that mappack, I'd give it 6/10, since it's kinda short.

You're right!

Hey you! Yes, you! The little kid who think his map worth an "8"!
There are mappack that are better than yours and they have less rating (like Lines and Zero Blocks).
I'm not saying that your mappack is bad, but you should wait to someone to rate your map.
I think it's a "6", but i'm not good rating mappack, and i haven't played it.
Play some mappacks and then ask yourself:
"Really my mappack is as good as Abstracta, 0'Brothers or Old Apperture?"
Maybe one day your mappack will be as good as mine.

EDIT: Writing this i noticed that in my mappack says "not updated", and that's a lie.

1.I am 11 so I am NOT little. 5 is little. 11 is not little.

2.Don't be a dick. It IS an 8. No one does stuff for me and when I do stuff for you,(Theme Run, Kaiz0 and a few suggestions) no one likes them. And I have the software to make tilesets so don't even tell me about those.

I am not a bad member. WaryLouka was.

1. :|
2. Look, you think it's 8 because you made it. I'm not saying it's horrible but there are mappacks with big (awesome) tilesets with 32 levels that took along time to make that have the rating of 8 and you mappack is no where near as good.

3. You done many things wrong, let me list some. You made a thread about 3D mari0 and you NEVER released it, you didn't even show screenshots. You suggest/ask for way too much stuff EX: my mod thread, a ton of abilities for your villager mod, many other threads you made and you only made these :Theme Run and Kaiz0. When I want something I make it, all I have to do is take some time to do it.

Try to improve, whenever you make posts like this arguments start.

Oh and I think he was talking to Bazvie999 :P

I think this thread needs to have a new voting system, which doesn't allow people to give their maps extremely high ratings.
Like, you can say maps you like and Hugo can tally how many people said that map for the rating. (Of course this one's probably too simple.)

Nah, I think letting people rate a suggested mappack is better. I get the average of all votes and put in the OP. But for now on, people will no longer be able to vote their own mappacks. It's a drastic decision, because there are people that votes their things thinking on other mappacks (me, for example). The same applies to "Mods Guide and Rating".

0. I was not talking to you, but i should.
1. I'm 15, when i was 11 all my relatives said that i was little.
2. I'm not saying that i don't like them, they are good mappack, but only that, good, no more, no less. An 8 is reserved for great mappack, 7 for very good mappacks, and 6 for good. I didn't rated my mappack as the "Best mappack ever", i put a lot of effort in it, I dedicated a lot of time in it, then someone rated it.
I suggest you to do the same, put effort in your mappack, and then wait to someone to rate it. If that never comes, you don't have to care, it's the best mappack to you, but you don't have to obligate everybody to love your mappack.

3. Nobody said that you are a bad member (at least i didn't), i said that you have to think better the quality of your mappacks. They are still good, but no more than that.
I don't know if i'm doing it right. I think i should stop here.

Well, okay. But you should try to get some more making sence-ier ratings on mappacks. On the top of the OP you could write, "Disagree? Post your own votes below!" or something like that.

What I was thinking about with my system is that if mappacks don't get as many +1s, people who aren't immature will accept that their map isn't as great as they think. Then again, a really good map might not get played without the high rating given by another member with your system. But of course people will always disagree with each other, as evidenced above, so if you like your system that's okay.

EDIT:
You should add a section asking for the rater's progress in the map, to weigh the reviews a little more. For example, a rating from someone who played the whole thing means more than first impressions.

This isn't related, but a bunch of mappacks got deleted from file uploading sites, not MediaFire, I mean, like Mari0Craft, that pack Sentinel made, is now gone.

That's because it's a mappack from months/years ago by an inactive user that deleted their upload account thing.

Yeah, possibly I need that Mari0Craft mappack, except uploaded on a better file uploading site, like Mediafire. And I want to see everything.

Sentinel did make pretty sweet mappacks.
2012 had a lot of mappacks using the default tileset but Into the Abyss was one of the most incredible looking maps I had seen done.
I'd recommend but seeing as there is no longer a download it would be pointless.

The last one published.

I've lost the mod that came with it. It was a foreground mod and a making the lasers invisible. It would be EASILY converted into Alesan99's entities mappack. I advise someone to do that.

Bump! Not much, since this is a pinned thread. Anyway, I think this thread should get a small update. You know, SE is here, and I haven't seen any suggestions of SE mappacks here. As soon as someone suggests and rates one, I'll add a "SE" category. I'm also thinking on adding categories for "Alesan99's entities" and "Mari0 +Portal", since besides vanilla Mari0 these are the 2 most used mods.

I need suggestions so I can start updating here. Any?

Probably because there haven't been many highly recommendable SE mappacks that are released yet.

Well, I and other people too posted mappacks that weren't THAT GREAT too. Example: my "Curved Science" mappack. It's a small concept mappack of only 2 worlds, but people seemed to have liked it when I published, and rated it well. So, perhaps some other small-but-cool mappacks should be highlighted a bit too.

Speaking of Curved Science, I'll update it soon to use the newest features of my mod, and probably a few more levels. Wait for that...

Another small bump!

I know this may sound weird, but could someone rate my Blue Portals mappack? I know, it is only the first world now, but some of you have already seen some progress of it while I showed progress on Mari0 +Portal. I'm asking it because I'm updating my blog, and I want to show others the rating of my mappacks.

Also, if you guys could too, I'd like a rate for my very first mappack here, Under Aperture. Yeah, it's not a GREAT mappack, but still...

A separate section (or even page) for SE sounds like a good idea.

Ratings:

Mindache: 10 (I'm very biased to Wiiware's maps yes)
0'Brothers: 9 (it was a bit too hard near the end but the effort put into it means it deserves nothing less than a 9.)
Glitchy Error: 7 (the concept was cool but the level design lost me halfway through0
Mario Exploration: 6 (the hilarity of how dumb it is makes me ignore how dumb it is.)
Silh0uette: 9 (love the high concept awesomeness the only flaw was that there wasnt more)
The Flow of Time: 8 (This was a classic)

ALSO

WHERE IS ZETA

Wiiware please I love that map so much

My rating: 10 (still probably my favourite map here. I would have rated it best mappack ever but that's a dumb rating and needs to be removed)

I'm gonna' rate 0'Brothers 10 because it currently has a rather low rating, and, while it was difficult, it was still a great mappack with custom music, tiles, and backgrounds.

I suggested it myself once (along with mod mappacks too), but, as someone said (don't remember who and I'm too lazy to search), there aren't many mappacks for SE finished yet. Most of them are either 1 World long and experimental or unfinished or unreleased. As soon as I get some mappacks for SE I'll add those :)

I add all the suggestions/ratings others ask here. I saw the post you made with two of your mappacks, but I didn't post because no one rated. But since I like you and your mappacks, I'll rate both 10, cause both are great!

Maybe you could make a seperate thread for SE maps?

If you posted them here, they'd be drowned by the amount of 1.6 maps.

I'm not gonna put them together with 1.6 maps, Turret. Therefore, then will not be "drowned"...
